Bit the bullet and got the the Disney Castle.
    Thanks

    • Surely a collectors item in the making. And that bus tho….

      • Hopefully. Trying to collect the big sets. Fave is still the batman tumbler.

Yeah I've got that. Kinda not as exciting build as I hoped though. May move it on.

          Looks bloody awesome though.

          Yellow submarine next!

        • @p1owz0r: Which comes out the day after double points ends (and will likely be limited to one) - d'oh! They should have run the London bus concurrently with the Yellow Submarine, being all British and stuff. ;)

        • @flumpf: as a brit i couldn't agree more :-)

If only I hadn't bought my son's xmas present already - but to be fair I got the millenium falcon for $200 so it was a pretty good deal. He wanted the new death star, but….

@p1owz0r: you mean, you wanted the new death star… :)

Dont forget the CC Fee you will be paying

    • CC fee? They have the AU website for shopping. I used 28 degrees so didnt notice though.

      • +4

Although you will be charged in AUD, your credit card processing bank may assess a transaction fee based on the fact that Lego A/S is a foreign vendor. Please consult your credit card issuer for details.

        • Thanks for clarifying. Didnt notice it on my last purchase.

Plus shipping, unless you spend $200.
Double VIP points, which equates to around 10%, can't be used until your next order.
Most exclusives will eventually be available at retail stores in Australia.
It's really only a good deal if you want an exclusive that isn't available in Australia or goes to Big W (stock availability) or Toyworld (much less chance of discount).

      • +2

It's good if you want a hard to find set now, otherwise it's a wait till it trickles down to a local retailer, then another wait for a sale to beat this. Then there's the matter of stock, I couldn't find an Ewok Village at any of my Targets, Big W also has the same issues. That's assuming a set hits local chains at all, I'm doubtful the Disney Castle will hit shelves until at least next year's midyear toy sale.

        • And I want the Lego London bus, which I believe isn't available anywhere else except Lego store?

        • @readannie: S@H exclusive so far, at least in Australia so it's the only way to get this promo.

  • I just got the Disney Castle set and apparently earned 666 vip points. Is that correct? I thought it was 1 point per dollar which means 998 points?

    • +1

It's 1 point per $1.5 and 100 points = $7.5 off, so 300 points normally for Disney Castle, the promo doubles that to 600 and change, which would work out to be $50ish off your next purchase.

      • Thanks for the explantion. So this is only available from Lego Shop?

  • edit went to nz store by accident
