damn it's coming down in price a bit, almost time to build a new rig me thinks

$750 - $799 for a 1080 is highly possible now towards the Christmas period.

  • Does it have aussie warranty?

    • That would be my concern also. I believe these guys are NZ based?

      • PBTech I think. I bought a card off them in the last sale, not 100% on the warranty but assume it'd be covered.

      • You'll be covered by CGA (Consumer Guarantees Act) not ACL. Similar protections, but you might need to pay your own return shipping in the event of an RMA.

    • 3 years warranty is included according to description, though you won't have consumer protection as it's not an Australian sale.

As you're in Australia, you're covered by the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act, which does not exclude sales to consumers in a foreign jurisdiction. Related note, the Australian Consumer Law explicitly says New Zealand is within its jurisdiction.

Fundamentally, the acts are very similar in terms of consumer protections.

Very nice, was not aware of this.
So it's virtually Australian stock (beyond postage times)?

  • Gears of War 4 code is only if they have the codes,i bought one of PC byte at the 20% sale and they told me they dont supply codes.

    • of course they do not provide the code, its a reedemable offer. click on Plus Free Gears of War 4 in the ops post.

      • just tried it and they wont accept pc byte as point of purchase,it must be only selected sellers

        • There is no restrictions as far as the seller goes, unless the manufacturer thinks you bought it from ebay.

"BUY A GIGABYTE GEFORCE® GTX 1080 or 1070 Series graphic cards and get Gears of War 4 for free.
TIME: Sep. 20th 2016 – Oct. 30th 2016 or while supplies last (Coupon redeem page will be closed on 23:59 Dec. 18th, 2016 )"

Maybe you bought it before the 20th of September. Contact their support and ask them why the redeem doesnt work.

  • I'm thinking of ordering one but his negative eBay feedback isn't encouraging. And pay day isn't till next week so there's that.
