    Holy crap that's going back.

  • What is Miracast enabled?

    • Miricast used to stream the screen to other devices.

    • It is a "software" that allows a mobile device to connect to Miracast enabled TV/monitor via WiFi. Basically you can connect to a monitor/TV without cables. I use it to connect my LG G4 to my LG Smart TV (google result = wireless display standard designed for mirroring a smartphone, tablet, or PC's screen to a television without requiring any physical)

    • Also not to be confused with the ChromeCast. It is not compatible with Google's proprietary casting protocol.

    • mirror mirror on the wall no screen

Processor is getting a bit dated now, I'd say price drops across the board will be common since AMD has already announced and released the new 7th gen A6, A9 and A10 APU's.

These old ones have produced very underwhelming results. I've got mixed feelings about this deal, but it could be an 'ok' deal for those looking to get budget gaming laptop, for low spec games like Dota or Overwatch.

Really unsure how they define "Signature", Signature-ly bad CPU? and crap resolution?

    • +1

It just means 'Clean' edition — no preinstalled trash, crapware or shovelware.

Doesn't mean much to the average Ozbargainer, I'm sure most of us already know how to de-bloat a laptop.

      • de-boat would be more fun if it didn't float

This is 2+ year old hardware that wasn't all that flash to begin with. $550 is about right for it, not a great price just about right. A 6200U based model for $100-$200 more would absolutely smoke it.

That's for a different spec - an Intel i5 Core i3-5005U model versus this AMD A8-7410 model.

But the i3 5005u model would be slightly better than this one.

  • Totally misleading price drop, would've been $1099 couple years ago.

  • This was the laptop in the BOGOF for $1100 about a month ago, so it's pretty much the same bargain (Link: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/262876)

    • Lots of people fell for the marketting there, but there's plenty of people in the comments pointing out that the notebook is a very low end one.

  • Using 10REWARDS thanks to Justwii https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/272010 takes $50 off it aswell.
