The NX is getting revealed via a trailer tonight at 1am aedt. Get hype.

    Looks pretty good. No word on specs, but it looked to be playing skyrim remastered and a new NBA game. Games on cartridges, not clear whether it has a touch screen.

    You can switch between handheld and home console, yes this means you can play skyrim while sitting on the toilet. Nintendo are reaching new heights.

      Everything was a mockup. Nothing was running on NX hardware. Neither game has been confirmed for NX although the developers have.

    Does seem pretty cool. I wonder how good the battery life will be. I assume that there wont be any discs.

    Edit: It uses cartridges.

      I'd hazard a guess at 3 to 4 hours.

      This is a wildly innaccurate guess based on my Nvidia Shield Tablet giving 2 hours Doom 3 at max screen brightness.

      Note that Shield Tablet is 1920x1080 - NX is 720p if rumours are correct - and to me the NX looks larger, probably 10" vs 8".

    I doubt it'd be touch-screen usable for games, but rather for media. Configuring a touch-ui for a game like Skyrim that doesn't take up the entire screen with touch prompts would be some feat.

    I'm interested, for sure. It'll come down to the price, but I think they've chosen a good usp to focus on rather than building a powerhouse to compete with Sony and Microsoft.

    Nintie is all about an "experience" rather than boasting about specs.

    Some of the duh marketing is so creepy because they elected to use adults. Tell me seeing 2 adult men in the back of a car playing Nintendo being driven by what looks suspiciously like parents isn't cvreepy :p
