  • if PayPal60 gives you 60% off (correct) rather than additional 20% off on top which is (1-40%) * (1 - 20%) = 48% which means 52% off original price

Your math is correct, however, I found that the code PAYPAL60 actually gives you 25% off your order if you spend $60+. OP is right that you can stack with the current 40% off sitewide offer.

So, 40% off plus an additional 25% off that discounted amount is 0.6 x 0.75 = 0.45 or 55% off original price.

Thanks OP. Just placed an order for some summer clothes.

        You'll never fit in them.

      • Yes, I'm getting 55% off original prices and 25% off sale prices for items in my cart.

The writing appears to be on the wall for them.
Masters, Dick Smith, Pie Face, Darrel Lea….Pumpkin Patch; bricks and mortar retail spaces for non essentials that can be purchased online are dying.

      • Yes- don't expect to be able to return anything. Buyer beware from here on in!

        • I hope they deliver orders.

        • @abacus: Probably, as you can claim back through paypal or credit card.

      • Does this mean, we might see bigger sales in days/months to come?

Thank you. I need to buy some clothes for baby showers.

This is the stave off bankruptcy sale.

Not sure if this is a good reason to be wary…

  • Pay with credit card. If Pumpkin Patch goes under as expected, you should be able to get your money back quite easily.

This is the best PP sale I've seen so far… shame they didn't have much winter stuff. That paypal60 code is GOLD!

Thank you for the post. I knew about the 40% off offer but not the additional 25% offer. Completed my order just now.

  • I completed an order on Friday and my items still not shipped which is surprising to me. Usually items get sent by DHL next day. I have bought many clothes for my kids on sale at pumpkin patch. Don't have time to shop in a store due to busy job and pumpkin patch is good quality clothes.

    • Ok got an explanation via email. I think I was just worried with PP in the news and thinking I may not get my order:

This order only came through to us on Friday, we are not open in the weekends and Monday was a public holiday here, once your order is charged you will receive a despatch email.

My parcel was shipped on 25 Oct and is expected to arrive tomorrow (28 Oct). But now the DHL tracking shows this status "Shipment held - Available upon receipt of payment" and it's still at Auckland airport. Same status for two of my parcels.

I also placed two other orders on 24 Oct, one with Pumpkin patch and one with Charlie and me. Both are not yet dispatched. Anyone else facing similar issues?

        • My one says the same shipment held - available upon payment

        • I rang Pumpkin Patch as I had the same issue and have been told that the company went into receivership today. However, she assured that the order will be delivered but will be delayed as they enter into negotiations with the receiver (which they hope to resolve today).

        • I ordered on Monday 25/10. Still says processing. And my credit card has been authorised by PayPal but payment is pending delivery of goods according to PayPal website.
Sounds like PayPal protected themselves by stopping our payment processing when we purchased?

    • I placed an order on last Friday and it still hasn't been shipped yet, which never happened before with Pumpkin Patch and Charlie&Me. Just called Pumpkin Patch and the operator didn't mention anything about receivership, she only told me that my order just went into their system TODAY and it would be most likely shipped tomorrow or Monday. I did forget to ask her whether I could cancel the order or not…

    • Just looked at my Credit Card statement and I haven't yet been charged for that order yet. Nor did I receive an invoice from Pumpkin Patch. Their order confirmation says "The full amount of your purchase will be charged when the items are despatched to you." so many will be in the same boat.

      • My credit card was charged

  • UPDATE: Well looks like it's happened - https://www.facebook.com/PumpkinPatchAU

  • I was surprised to find out that PP went into receivership. From what the lady I was speaking advised, the stock is physically available for those who have put orders through and have been charged. The administrators are negotiating with transport companies now to get things underway? Who knows really. Apparently stock will start being dispatched from next week.

  • They should cease trading till they sort this mess out. My order has been stuck since Tuesday.

Message on their facebook page says "Thank you for your patience over the last couple of days while our receivers working through the delivery solutions with our providers. We are now back on track and our distribution centre is catching up on backlogs. Please be assured that all orders received and charged will be delivered provided the stock is available as per usual process. Thanks again for your understanding during this difficult time."

  • I have no update since placing my order on Oct 21. Normally, Paypal sent me a receipt straight away. this time it only says "authorised a payment". Basically fund hasn't been released. I don't know if I'll get my order at all.

  • yes finally my order departed NZ today
Departed Facility in AUCKLAND - NEW ZEALAND

  • Ugh. Can the ACCC help me secure a refund…?

  • Received my order this morning via DHL. Hopefully, everyone else gets theirs soon.

  • Ordered on 22nd Oct, received email today confirming order ready for pick up.

  • Received my order yesterday

  • Just called them up for an order placed on 23rd Oct.

Was advised that there has been an issue with Paypal, they are apparently negotiating with Paypal at the moment.

Are you guys using credit card when paying?

    • Yes. Place an order on 21st Oct and the transaction disappeared in the bank for a while, then got actually charged last week. Order despatched yesterday and received this morning. However DHL is not treating PP orders well, my friends' and my orders were all left at the front door without knocking the door, and the tracking said parcels being signed for. Don't know what actually going on between DHL and PP. Would be hard to trace on lost parcels in this circumstance.

      • Ours was left at the door as well.

      • Great, I think I am going to call up and change the payment method to credit card.

They items are packed and ready to be shipped, hopefully no more dramas.

        RIP PP.

        • After I received my order I'm actually thinking about place another order as the clothes are so cute and at reasonable price during sale. Don't know if they would have this further discount again.

        • @jnbluv2h:

          Yeah, I agree.

I love their clothes, so cute and comfy, sad to see them go.

Yep, Pumpkin Patch B&M stores are dying.

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/86125435/more-pumpkin-patch-…

Receiver Brendon Gibson said the likely closure of stores in Australia and New Zealand had been signalled when the business was placed in receivership on October 26.

Make no mistake, this is a slow phase closure of the chain.
