OK OzBargain. Let's Talk Toilet Paper.

Whenever I purchase toilet paper, I feel that there must be a brand or product that everyone else knows about, but me. I often find that the toilet paper I buy (e.g. Quilton) doesn't seem to measure up to expectations (which leaves me feeling pretty browned off, I don't mind saying).

So, what brand do you buy, OzBargain?

    • I live on my own, in the last 4-5 months ive used 5 rolls… Lol big bucks…

      • That does not sound healthy at all. 1 month per roll? Do you go twice a week or something?

        • Lol only at night if I need to? I can use toilet in my break at work. I just get up shower eat Nd leave, come home shower eat Nd sleep.

        • @Slippery Fish: You shower twice a day?

What's the point in showering before and after bed? Do you sweat a lot in your sleep?

        • @lostn: I was raised to shower twice a day, but yes I sometimes do sweat alot :p

  • I used to buy Quilton double length then moved to Kirkland.

  • Quilton is the best! Cottonelle is terrible if you are hairy.

I buy whatevers on special 😂

  • Sorbent 3 ply. Just recently however I used Aldi's 3 ply and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised!

If you're not going to use a bidet then the least you could do is buy recycled. Toilet paper takes a big toll on the environment. Paper towel is just as bad. I'm trying to not buy paper towel but proving hard to go back to reusable cloths. Especially for cleaning up nasty stuff.

hard to go back to reusable cloths

      ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Paper towel, as in kitchen towel… And I meant hard to go back to using cloths for stuff like wiping the base of the kitty litter tray or quick cleanup around the toilet etc. Found paper towel really useful for all this stuff.

  • Water is the best !

Another vote for Silken brand here, you can get em from Big W.
I think they sell it in a pack of 32 rolls for about 12 dollars or $9 when in sale.

I think they also introduce the 48 packs one recently.

  • one more vote for whogivesacrap. But I do also like icare (also recyclable).

  • Have started buying Woolworths Homebrand toilet paper recently 2 ply 12pk $3.79, seems alright. Lasts for ages, thick enough and cheap. Not sure if I should worry about the chemicals they use in making it though because its so cheap.

  • Coles branded 3 ply. Cheapest, best quality value for money paper.

  • Over, or Under.

  • I bought some of the Coles basic brand on the weekend, to see how it compares.

I…I'm just not sure if I could go the water route…

  • Just use your hand to wipe your butt. Wash the hand in the sink or wash it in the shower - 2 birds with 1 stone.

    • Arabs eat with their right hand and wipe with their left.
Thieves get their right hand cut off.

  • Homebrand 1 ply.
But if I have guests over: https://www.amazon.com/Renova-Colour-Toilet-Bathroom-Tissue/…

  • Why wipe-it-all, when you can wash it off and wipe the water?

  • Kirkland from Costco, think and strong, good value for money if you have a membership.

    Bidet is better !!

  • Don't be a tight arse when caring for your anus.

    I use Emporio.

  • Just get a bidet. Buy some cheap rolls to wipe off an excess water. Cheaper and cleaner in the long-run.

  • This is how the Japanese make toilet paper …

Don't even use toilet paper - the 3 x Seashell method is the future!

@hymio: It was a joke dude, apparently it's the norm for some cultures though.
