more fee's than a government department.

      • Hi Tuzil, many thanks for your feedback, you would find that most providers have similar fees, but we provide lots of options because you as a consumer deserves option. Come to a journey with us and will help you achieve great nbn with a great customer service

  • I was on a quest to find the best value 500GB 100/40 plan. Still haven't found cheaper than $75/month with Aussie Broadband (and getting SkyMesh to match it).

    https://www.aussiebroadband.com.au/residential/residential-i…

    • I am also looking to do the same, let me know who you go with :-)

      • I got SkyMesh to match Aussie Broadband (500GB, 100/40, no contract!)

        • Nice. Does SkyMesh get congested?

        • SkyMesh is one of the better ISPs around. Plenty of positive feedback on Whirlpool if you want to have a look.

I'd definitely recommended them over a company like Dodo.

        • @j4ck: I left Skymesh after two weeks due to congestion down here in SA. From 5pm til 12am every single day like clockwork - websites would take forever to load and streaming anything or downloading anything was not possible.

Also, when it was good - international traffic was always painfully slow compared to local content.

Skymesh's customer service is gold star though. They have a very personable touch. I was liaising with the owner of the company at one stage to try and sort it out. They ended up giving up and giving me a refund of my first month and let me keep the modem for free.

Changed to Telstra and haven't had a problem at any time since. 100mbit 24/7.

        • With which plan did they match? SkyMesh's plans have split quotas, so I'm curious to see how they'd match up.

        • @BradH13:

Hmmm, haven't had any of those issues here in Canberra. Different results in different places I guess?

        • @psyren89:

They matched it 1 for 1. My plan with SkyMesh is 100/40 with 500GB any time (no contract).

@congngo: Hi, we make sure you don't get congested

        • -1

@BradH13: Hi, we pride on making sure we don't have congestion and match those providers

      • With the provided promo code we will beat it to $74

    • +1

j4ck, with the promo code you will get it for $74 a month which is cheaper

      Happy to match it!

    • We can certainly better that $75/month , just have a chat to us and see what we can do

  • Couldn't imagine ever signing up for a brand new provider for an essential such as internet. Considering the big guys like TPG, and iiNet can't even get reliable NBN right with no peak speed issues due to the CVC cost of bandwidth - what chance do you have?

Happy to be proved wrong - but you're not getting me signed up.

Hi Brad, you should try it, you may be surprised, we pride on our customer service

  • +1

    Thanks OP didn't sign up

    • -1

THat's a shame, I hope you reconsider, we have excellent customer service and pay for higher CVC than most providers

  • As with all NBN providers, just spend the extra for now… Cheapest case go with something like Dodo that has their own infrastructure in major cities so you're not relying on your provider to actually fork out some cash on more CVC.

To explain it better, if you're in a city NBNCo deals with from your home to the local exchange, then your provider will have direct links with the exchange and their peers. Rural towns will result in the NBN connecting you to the closest POI, then your provider paying for CVC back haul to their exchange, THEN your connection reaches the internet. Providers all cheap out on these CVCs, resulting in congestion.

    • So if I am in the city, I should go with Dodo NBN?

      • I'm more saying any provider that has their own infrastructure would be better than one that does not when in a city.

        • I am not sure. Telstra's nbn infrastructure went down the other day , and they were impossible to get a hold of nor keep the customer informed. One should choose a provider that looks after their customer.

        • @teleron: one should not attempt aggressive sockpuppetting when one is trying to sell ones own product.

Now let's be honest here, at this stage you're getting your free 150mbps CVC and not paying a cent more. Attempting to mislead someone who isn't even a potential customer (NBN isn't available where I live) is really not good for building trust in your service. You're bragging about paying for higher CVCs when we all know you have nothing more than the 150mbps base free CVC provided by NBN.

        • @dyl: hi Dylan, many thanks for your comment but I can assure you that we pay for much higher cvc, and higher than the average cvcas this was debated quite a bit and we would like to ensure good customer service. If you don't believe don't try, if you do, please do. Thank you for your comment and we appreciate it, but we pride ourselves in customer service and hence higher than average cvc

        • @teleron:
What peering do your exit POI(s) have? Also, where are your exit POI(s) (Sydney, Melbourne?)?

The reason I recommended Dodo earlier (and still do recommend either Dodo or a more expensive provider) is because it's publicly available information - you know (if you're in Melbourne or Sydney) who your provider is peered with and even some information on what speeds.

For example, I can see that Dodo is peered with my server provider, Micron21. It's peered that well that I get the same ping to my server as I do to the first hop (Dodo's Melbourne POI). You can also see their international peering (done by a company also apart of M2 Communications, Vocus) here. In other words - it's the same pricing, though you already know what you're getting. You're not relying on a company to actually stick to their word of providing a decent service.

    • I can assure you at teleron we have gone at the higher spectrum of CVC costs as we pride ourselves on service. So Congestion should not be a problem

    • Hi Dyl, thank you so much for your comment, we pay a premium for CVC as we pride in customer service and customer satisfaction. As a result, our margins may be lower but we do not cheap out on CVC

  • Hi Rep, do you provide NBN in the Canberra region? I'm in Queanbeyan (9QBN-06). Currently with Aussie Broadband 25/5 100GB plan $50 a month no setup fees, no contract and no charge for using my own router. Any chance you can match the price, but with more data. Perhaps 200GB? Aussie give double data for the first 6 months, but that has just run out for me. I'm happy with Aussie Broadband, but always looking out for the best deal.

    • Hi e-wolfe.

Yes we do. Would love you to come on board

If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me

    • +1

We serve 9QBN but for 200G our best price is $54. For $4 extra a month you get to double your data, it is not too bad, is it?

      • It's a reasonable price if you have no joining / setup / contract fees like Aussie Broadband

        • Hi e_wolfe, many thanks.

I would be more than happy to discuss with you pricing on joining and contract, please contact us at [email protected] or www.teleron.com.au and we can see if we can create a deal for you

  • We have taken off the activation and setup costs to the first 20 customers signing up from Ozbargain
