Looks like BingLee has a 20% off eBay sale starting tomorrow Wednesday at 10am and the code should be available by then. Thought of putting this up here for anyone who wants to buy a GoPro Hero5 Black and missed out the last time. If you use click and collect, it's pretty much in line with the best price this was posted the last time with the 20% off code. You can use TRS to sweeten the deal if you plan to go overseas within 60 days. Don't forget the cashback which should come to $6.86 making the price $432.33. It's got good reviews and with the screen, way better than going for a Hero4 Black.

One thing I love about this is that it is waterproof out of the box without a WP case that makes things very easy.

        Well at the moment the Parrot - PF721920 Drone is $299. Most places seem to have it for around $400, so we'll see what BL charges tomorrow. Note, I know nothing about drones, & whether this is a good deal.

          that's a good yardstick I guess, parrot drones aren't the best especially if they are wi-fi controlled.

      how important is 4K or slomo to you? from what I know, GPH5B will give you both of those compared to Silver.

        so even 4k is better than 4? slomo isn't a big deal, but I was more attracted to water resistant with no housing to be honest.
        how about sound? big improvement?

          Yeah there's a big improvement for sound (plenty of youtube reviews to demonstrate this) since the Hero5 has 3 mics now to pick out the best audio and avoid the ones with wind noises and what not - it's so much clearer - not to mention that you can have much better audio for your videos whilst doing water-related activities without having the waterproof case blocking off your audio.

          if I'm not wrong, Silver only supports 15fps for 4K right? I may be wrong about that though, Hero5 supports 30fps for 4K

        Got a 20% discount on the garmin and it looks much better to me that's why.. it shows stats with gps while recording just to say one

          this video gives a good overview, I'm more inclined towards Hero 5 because it'll have a better resale value. Otherwise, Garmin does look better.

          @ets27: I guess the GPS overlay will come to GPH5B eventually cz they bought a company that does this. What attracts me to Garmin Virb is that you can connect a range of stuff to it including a bluetooth mic.

          I ride on mtb and it might be very easy to crash the camera. I wonder what will happen without the case as in the gopro..

          Also the stabilizer should be mechanical on the Virb.

          @ets27: true, session seems to be pretty robust, there was a video on youtube where a guy drops his session from 1000m, the surface is grass though so it should have different impacts on tarmac.

    I had a chat to the BingLee staff, they knew about the deal and said it was great. Also there was still stock in store so they weren't sure why ebay said there was none.
