Air Fryers

Hi There,
I am curious about Air Fryers. Started researching about them and realised it"s a head scratching time for me after seeing so many models and don"t know which one is better.
Any one using Air fryers if yes share your experiences please.
Do you guys recommend Air Fryers or vote for Traditional Fryers??
I am very keen to buy one.

    I bought one of these:

Even at $15 for shipping, I'd not hesitate recommending one of their air fryers- mine's had a good chunk of use with no issues.

TVSN used to demonstrate the Philips ones all the time. Not sure if they still run them, but they are great to watch.

I have two, I have a Philips (not the XL, they XL always has problems) and also the one that Coles sold for a while a few years ago (Onix brand). They are pretty much identical in size and function. I wouldn't waste money on buying a Philips because the cheaper ones (under $100) work the same. Don't get one with a digital dial - the analog dials work heaps better and don't have problems. I've had my two for over 3 years now.

They are brilliant. Basically think about them as little ovens. Anything that goes into an oven you can airfry - so aswell as meat, chips, nuggets etc - you can make cakes (big ones, or cupcakes - those cardboard straight sided muffin cases are the ones to use), roasts, whatever. Also a slice of bread with cheese melted on it works good. You can heat up croissants, other baked goods in it.

They are safe and quick to use. My son (who is autistic) can cook his own food safely and easily.

I bought this when Ebay had a sale. Its bloody brilliant. I can chuck frozen stuff like nugggets in there and it'll cook in minutes without any of the preheating crap and cleaning is as easy as throwing out an extra foil I put on the pan.

It is a 13l one which you can potentially use for rotiserrie style cooking on chicken, duck etc too although I haven't tried that yet. If you don't need as much capacity there are smaller ones like the Philips one.

    • This one looks great.
Have to see if ebay comes up with any deals

  • I've got the tefal airfryer. I've found that it squishes the food due to the paddle, I'm wishing I got the one that everyone else got!
