"Brewed in one of these locations: United Kingdom/Australia/Belgium"

    so it's a lucky dip?

I'm off for a chance to win then
    thanks OP

    • Well that's what the website says.

Beck's is also the same price, and is generally import.

    • I have seen locally brewed Becks as well, so be careful. In my view the local Becks is pretty poor, as is the local Stella, but of the two local versions I prefer the Stella.

      • I've never seen local Becks, but it's fairly easy to check - what with the required sticker and all.

And yes, the local brewers can't hack it.

Article comparing local brews vs imported. Apparently these judges reckon local versions were better. I call BS….

        • @billy_bob:

Says much more about the judges than it does the beer methinks. I guess if you've been used to the local stuff your entire life, then you might like a locally brewed attempt for tasting similar to what you know.

        • @billy_bob: Hey, if they give me free beer I'll judge it as better too.

  • never seen a Belgian stella for sale here. theyre from the uk when not locally brewed.

    • How about the half litter cans?

      • +4

        I'd rather all beer.

      • You shouldn't really litter cans. Recycle like Captain Planet

      • uk brewed. even the stuff aldi has had, from the uk.

    • I managed to get Belgian Stella from Dan's once, but that was a few years ago, never seen it again unfortunately :(
Belgian brewed is WAY nicer than local (or UK version for that matter).

I was always wondering if UK people are saying the same: "This local beer is crap, imported (Australian) is much better"…

    • Probably.

    • I've lived here for 5 years, and back in the UK Fosters is a LOT more popular than it is here (I think the second best selling beer), to the extent my mum was shocked when she came over and went in a bottle shop, and couldn't find the bloody stuff.

  • I just paid $35 in store..
