UPDATE 7:30PM: I am un-expiring this deal and change it for the USyd meetup tomorrow. Same deal

  • Next Meetup: Thursday, 27 Oct 2016 at 12PM
  • Location: Between University of Sydney and Victoria Park, near Princes Highway. Map.
  • I will try to bring ~30 OzBargain T-shirts (some black, some orange) & the orange shopping bags
  • I will try to be "on-time" this time or even be a little bit late, so T-shirts won't be ozbargained before the official starting time.

UPDATE 3:50PM: Arrived at Town Hall at 12:45PM, already have people there, and all 30 T-shirts handed out before 1PM. Completely ozbargained. I will update this post for the USyd meetup for tomorrow. Stay tuned.

I am packing 20 OzBargain T-shirts and some foldable shopping bags to be given away at our Town Hall meetup today. Yes it's limited quantity (20 of different sizes) & targeted deal (OzBargain members only). T-shirts and shopping bags will be given out at first come first serve base and sorry no rain check. You also get to meet other IRL OzBargainers to chat about what's your favourite OzBargain deals and fond memories of flame wars. Yes, for those who come will also be awarded the Not a Bot.

I will be at the courtyard between Sydney Town Hall and St. Andrew's Cathedral near George Street at around 1PM & I will be wearing a black OzBargain T-shirt.

        Not sure. Personally I can't remember when I last visited USyd, so I have no idea where are popular meeting spots. "Bridge" — what bridge?

          Hmm… I think the next nearest landmark would just be the fixed equipment they have at Victoria Park. The bridge im referring to is a little further up city road (towards newtown). Links two side of usyd campus together.

        Ok Scotty. Barff Road near Fisher Library or Barff Road near School of Mathematics?

        Google maps show Barff Road in two sections. One off university avenue and the other right off princess highway.

    Scotty, can't you change your title to The Boss. Employee doesn't cut it.

      "Boss" does have some negative connotation of someone who bosses people around — I am trying to avoid that :) It also does not exist in our Store Rep categories so can't mark myself as one.

        Yeah, I went to the USYD event and it's my 1st time to an Ozbargain meet up! I was there when everyone took group photos…I study in USYD and live in the area for a few years but still a bit hard to find where the event was.
