UPDATE 7:30PM: I am un-expiring this deal and change it for the USyd meetup tomorrow. Same deal

  • Next Meetup: Thursday, 27 Oct 2016 at 12PM
  • Location: Between University of Sydney and Victoria Park, near Princes Highway. Map.
  • I will try to bring ~30 OzBargain T-shirts (some black, some orange) & the orange shopping bags
  • I will try to be "on-time" this time or even be a little bit late, so T-shirts won't be ozbargained before the official starting time.

UPDATE 3:50PM: Arrived at Town Hall at 12:45PM, already have people there, and all 30 T-shirts handed out before 1PM. Completely ozbargained. I will update this post for the USyd meetup for tomorrow. Stay tuned.

I am packing 20 OzBargain T-shirts and some foldable shopping bags to be given away at our Town Hall meetup today. Yes it's limited quantity (20 of different sizes) & targeted deal (OzBargain members only). T-shirts and shopping bags will be given out at first come first serve base and sorry no rain check. You also get to meet other IRL OzBargainers to chat about what's your favourite OzBargain deals and fond memories of flame wars. Yes, for those who come will also be awarded the Not a Bot.

I will be at the courtyard between Sydney Town Hall and St. Andrew's Cathedral near George Street at around 1PM & I will be wearing a black OzBargain T-shirt.

          We have sponsored UNSW CSE's Startup Expo a few times to cover the food cost, I did a seminar with ARC last year, and then a few meetups basically getting to know the real people in this community and to give away some T-shirts.

      Aliexpress… They got OzBargain logo and are great to bring to the shops that don't give out plastic bags, i.e. Aldi. Instant credential.

      The thing is they are actually not that cheap. I know you guys might think it's outrageously expensive, but the unit price is around $9-$10 (good T-shirts though), and I can't possibly "sell" that (+postage +GST) to OzBargainers. Easier for me to just order 100-200 pieces each year and give them away.
