Another Apple product that works just like magic!

  • Is that USD or AUD 14.95?

  • This app is mediocre at best, it really slows down the performance of your main screen and Youtube/ Flash Player tends to lag heaps with it.

  • Anyone has real-world experience with this? Sounds awesome, but ideal and reality normally have a big gap in between…seems quite cool to take advantage of the realestate of iPad Pro when mobile, but wanted to make sure its good before shelling out a reasonably big amount of money (for an app that is).

    • Keen to hear feedback too!

I bought this a couple of hours ago and have been using it since. I had a minor install issue caused by some existing security policies, but once I got it installed it started up fine.

I've used WiFi-based desktop-on-an-iPad apps before, and I use a lot of remote control software. Where I'm using this now, WiFi isn't an option, so I'm really happy with the cable-based implementation. Response time is good enough for what I'm doing (and better than WiFi) and it's great to just toss a window down onto the iPad to keep it out of the way of everything else without getting buried.

No, don't expect to watch rich media stuff on this. Yes, it will lag. However, if all you want are some extra pixels to throw an app on to, this is great.

I bought it too, only played with it for half an hour or so but for me I definitely feel its worth the $15.

Im running a 2011 Macbook pro and iPad 4, dialled the settings to regular resolution and 30FPS which reduced the lag. there is still a bit of a lag but I suppose working from your computer as the main screen would minimise this issue. Sounds like wifi based ones lag is a major issue.

Trying to use it with aperture (the main reason i bought this app) caused aperture to crash twice, having said that apple no longer supports this program so could be a number of things. Seems to work fine with other applications (itunes / photos / chrome)

Lots of good reviews online with plenty saying this is the best option for iPad as a second screen.

  • $14 and still have in app purchase?

  • There is also GoodDual Display on sale for $1.49.

Haven't used it, so can't say how good/bad it is.

    • I haven't tried that one but the iTunes reviews are both bad

  • Is this any good guys. Have some US itunes credit and thinking of buying this for $10 USD

  • This one is dead now :(
