  So with thet recent ebay deal where my invoice shows $3996 was paid to TGG yet the tv is Now $3196 (the price I technically paid) any one tried to get a discount/store credit or something? (Long shot i know but possibly a technicality??)

      My understanding was that means they wont price match online stores. Not the other way round.

        1. They don't price match themselves
        2. They pricematch online stores if they are on the list of the competitors included.
        3. Price guarantee only apply for TGG online/instore sales, not eBay sales.
        4. They never pricematch eBay

  I was thinking of getting the Sony 49" from the EB Games PS Pro Pre-order deal for $999. Would anyone be able to tell me if any of the TVs available in these sales would be a better choice in the same price range?

    Depends on your preferred size and what you do with it. I find the reviews on rtings.com very helpful. The 55X7000D (700D) is now $1,200 and great/better than the EB Games models in terms of wide viewing angle. Then there's the more expensive 55X8500D (850D) which is better for sports and gaming. If you don't end up using your EB voucher, would you mind passing it on to me? I think 49" is big enough for me and don't really want to spend more than a grand.
