Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a 27" Dell Monitor for everyday use (mainly for their reliability, had an Acer monitor which failed). Mainly use for YouTube video, web browsing and some gaming. I have a GTX970 G1 gaming so can do 4k.
Am eyeing these 3 monitors, would love to hear any advice:
1) U2717D
2) P2715Q (4k)
3) UP2716D

The U2717D is the updated U2715H, but there's fairly little difference between them. You're more likely to get a better deal on the older model, so I'd say keep an eye out for that over the U2717D.
As skramit noted, you won't be getting great performance on 4K, so I wouldn't bother.
The UP2716D is targeted at professionals who need better colour accuracy than most. There's no benefit to getting it over the U2717D or U2715H for general usage.
10-bit colour depth on UP2716D is overkill unless you're doing some serious Photoshop work.
I've read that the larger colour space can look over-saturated on apps that don't specifically support it, so I would rule it out for youtube and web browsing.
4k on a gaming monitor would be a waste unless you have at least a GTX1070. I'd go U2717D. InfinityEdge looks awesome
4K Solitaire sure… not much in 3D at 4K with smooth frames above 30fps. If you go the 4K option with that GPU I think you'll regret it if you play any recent 3D games.
I went the 2560x1440 option in 27" and don't regret it. It's much higher DPI than 1080p monitors but doesn't strain the GPU like a 4K monitor does. So it's a good balance between the two. So if it were me I'd go the U2717D
