Miele Unboxed Clearance Centre - Rosehill NSW - G4920 SCU Dishwasher $799 - RRP $1599 - Ends Thursday Night - Ex Display Models

80

The link in the URL is just to the product page for the dishwasher - not to the actual deal.

The unboxed clearance centres do not have online shopping unfortunately.
A link to their details is here https://www.miele.com.au/domestic/3031.htm

There are also clearance centres in other states (QLD, WA, SA, Vic) - not sure if the same sale is on in those states?

The Miele unboxed clearance centre sells factory second and ex-display Miele appliances. They come with full manufacturers warranty but are unboxed and may have minor cosmetic damage.

The normal price reduction for unboxed items is 20% off the RRP across their range.

Today and tomorrow they have a "Family and Friends" sale where they have slashed the price of models they have excess stock of.

I wanted a Miele dishwasher but didn't want to pay the exorbitant price, but thanks to this sale, I've now got one at a very good price.
Like Apple, Miele maintain the prices of their products in the marketplace. Unless Miele are running promotions it is tough to get a decent discount on Miele gear.

There were plenty of bargains on other overstocked Miele gear too, but I was so excited about this one I didn't take down any details.
Well worth a look if you have time and are in the area.

You can always phone them on 1300 841 554 - however they sometimes will not give prices over the phone. If you give them a specific model number and are polite, you have a decent chance though.

  • Bear in mind the base model you bought is most likely made in China.

    • +1

From what I can see they make them in the Czech republic and Germany too.

I didn't check the country of manufacture on my particular machine. When it is delivered next week I will.

I am not particularly worried either way, it carries Miele's 2 year warranty plus the statutory warranty under consumer protection law.

Made in China doesn't necessarily mean it is crap - in the same way made in Germany doesn't necessarily mean its good.

I know I'd prefer a Korean built car over an Australian built car (if they still exist?) any day of the week…

      • Well said

    • I am sure you typed this message on "Chinese made" laptop or phone, same as me & most of others.. but yes, I still love made in EU appliances

    • Bear in mind the base model you bought is most likely made in China.

Why spread incorrect information? This has been discussed before on here and what you have posted is rubbish.

  • Thanks GWH for posting this - I've been researching Miele appliances recently so this might save a bit of cash :)

Do you know if they're selling vacuums as well? Tried their number but it went to voicemail.

    • +1

I didn't see vacuums but they have most of their range. They have a lot of some items, little or none of others.

The big discounts in this "Family and Friends" sale period are on the things they have a lot of.

  • What kind of the warranty Miele offer for the factory second and unboxed item?

Usually they offer 2 years warranty for white goods.

    • 2 years. Same as brand new boxed items.

      • That will be great.

  • So these are open to the public just walk in type shops?

    • +1

      Yup

Brisbane Miele unboxed centre advised, the yearly family & friends discount offer is scheduled at different times in each state. Brisbane was a while ago and lasted 2 weeks. No excess dishwashers at present in Brisbane.

        • Fair enough

It would be nice to get on their mailing list for notification of commencement of these sales.

  • Went there today, 2 brand new in box G4920 SCU (or SC? can't remember) for $635 each plus delivery (if required). Sale continues till end of next week or whenever all the stocks are gone. Last year's sale was in September so there's no reliable way of predicting this other than keep going there once a month. The staff weren't informed of the sale till a week beforehand.
