I have been looking for this model for about a month now. It has been hovering between 340-380$ on different websites. This is the cheapest I could find. There is a sale happening on Aliexpress on 11th November for AUD $321.12 AliExpress

Please note that only White colour 32GB model is available at this price. Very good specs for this price. Also it comes with Global ROM and Google Play store.

      Totally agree this is one of the worst things that Xiaomi has done to this phone. No idea why they removed it. I am hoping 32GB would be sufficient for me.

        Considering mi5s seems to be 80 bucks more would be more inclined towards that as it has 64gb storage. 32gb is becoming the new 16gb I think.

    What's the difference on their website between "international edition" and the normal ones if both come with global MIUI?

      Not really sure. Good that you raised this. I have sent them an email. However, this is what their FAQ says:

        For global editions they usually don't even open the box as it is global and that is how it comes from the factory. I think international edition is either where it's shipped from etc.

          @sbrulz: yep global ROM come with google play more installed cos that's how they do it out of the factory. Anyways irrespectively, it's probably a great phone xiaomi can do no wrong in my eyes.

      b28 important for anyone using optus network. Whether it be virgin or other MVNOs like Amaysim / Vaya etc.

      Not if you live in metro areas. The following Optus bands are supported by Mi5:
      B1(2100)/B3(1800+)/B7(2600)/B40(2300)

          Check Oztowers.com as there are like a billion optus towers near me that use 700mhz (band 28). I live metro. It's important if you want to pull down extra speed.
