How do these compare to the GT2000 shoes I normally buy.

This year I've not renewed them due to them going up in price by around $40 on COTD.

I've bought the GT's due to the fit and not because I run or anything.

I have an odd shaped feet which are hard to find comfortable walking shoes for.

Narrow at the ankles and extra wide at the toes with a high arch.

So far the Asics GT's are the only brand/model I've found that are comfortable and last me a year.

    • I have the GT2000 and these. For me the Gt's are much better, both for foot support & longer lasting. worth the extra $40

      • Thanks for the heads up.

        I'll grab the GT's then

I've been putting it off so long that the soles are shredded

        • Keep in mind that even the best running shoes have a limited life. Think the best are good for something around 700km and that's only if you are not also wearing them as casual shoes.
It doesn't take long for all the cushioning to wear so it's worth keeping a good turn over of shoes if your are pretty active in them.
I keep my best pair for running and use the old one for causal wear, the next older pair for yard work and then they make it to the bin.

  • When I follow your link OP, I get $68 and $17 delivery to Perth.

        • +7

          @cnut:

I don't think your feet changes size depending which country you visit .. just saying

        • @cnut:
I know what you mean. I'm a size 8 but not sure what size that is referenced to in stores - US or UK.

Mine just arrived! I'm normally US11 but got the 11.5 because some reviews said you needed to go half a size up. 11.5 was definitely the right choice.

    • +1

And mine arrived today. Happy with the fit too.

  • Mine still have not arrived

  • No actual explanation but an email saying they were refunding my money.
An explanation of some kind would have been nice.
