Probably the cheapest ever watch with working subdials. Incredible value. Unfortunately the other day I was on a train and missed that posting by W Time (previously Winston Watches) which was unpublished for sockpuppeting.

The silver/gray was my daily(beater) for a few months last year. Awesome value! And still going strong now.

  • is this the same as a 2 bob watch?

    • Did you read the 2 reviews on Watchuseek?

      • +2

I apologise. Looks good. Just that I was involved earlier today about what a 2 bob watch would cost today.(apparently $2.60 cf 1965)

Just received this last week. A bit big for my wrist but it's a each to their own thing …it looks pretty slick I enjoy wearing it to work everyday . My only complain so far is there is no luminous hands to tell the time at night and the leather is a bit stiff.Again, it's a personal thing and I find it a pretty impressive watch for this price

        • +1

Thanks for the review, I guess for the money it's better to have no lume because you can guarantee it wouldn't be very strong.
The Rep just released 100 more at $13.37 delivered.

        • just realised that I bought this watch previously with the leather band instead of the canvas strap haha…yeah absolutely it feels pretty nice actually and much cheaper than what I paid so it's a yes for me :)

        • @mty: Oh yeah I remember now, it was still a great price because you got the leather strap.
It's not real leather though is it?

        • Firstly, it says "genuine leather" on the back of the strap lol… and feels pretty soft when you wear it. The band it self is about 1mm thick and feel sturdy so I reckon it's real leather…

oh and one more thing, when you first set the time, there is no way to change the date, so say if it's the 23rd today, and the watch shows 21st, you'll have to manually move the hand 2 days…oh well, not a big problem to me (Unless, you know, if they set it the 11th, that's super evil haha)

Silver / grey has gone up in price.

Who do these guys use for shipping - standard post (hand onto Aussie Post once in Oz)?

    • Huh? Shows as US$12.21 for me.

      • +1

Did you add it to your cart?

It was showing at lower price on product page but when added to cart it was AUD$25.

Thanks for the down vote whoever did that…

Another watch I found on Gearbest a while ago: http://www.gearbest.com/men's-watches/pp_354634.html

Review from the 3rd page onwards: https://imgur.com/a/a7LN0#CUaatjE

Just thought I'd contribute another cheap alternative that looks pretty good (but has no subdials)

    • That's a bit cheeky calling it a 8215.

    • Cheers good find. Just brought one

      • +7

        Where did you bring it?

      • Speak English or DIEEE!!!!

          Is that you Trump?

Chronograph as opposed to chronometer as printed on dial? Are these within COSC spec for quartz?

Couple of extra bucks gets you this….

Another similar option is the 39mm Skmei 9083 for $10.46 delivered. The sub dial works as a seconds hand.
Can't find much in the way of reviews on this one but I own some Skmei digitals that are great, like the Skmei 1134.
Edit - Customer reviews on Aliexpress.

    Silver is still showing $16.32

  • Is there anything I should look for in one of these cheap watches? I have trouble finding watches I like the look of but a few here seem pretty good..

    • The Megir 2011 in your 2nd link is the same as the Silver in my link but for $12.16 more ($28.48) the only difference is it has a cheap leather strap which will look pretty ordinary in not much time.
You are better off buying the silver in my link for $16.32 & putting the savings towards a better after market leather strap.

      • +1

Go on 28° , give us a link for decent after market leather strap. I've bought all kinds of leather straps from eBay & they're all crap

        • Sorry for the delay, I was hoping someone else might help you out as I have never bought any. You could try doing a search on Watchuseek or Google "leather watch strap reviews"

  • Thinking of getting one, which one do you guys reckon looks better - the silver or silver gray?

    • +1

sliver, the one with the black dial you can see the stupid white spacer which makes it look cheap

      • technically they both have the white spacer ring (between the dial and the case) but less noticeable on the silver

    • +1

Personally, I prefer the silver gray as the band is of colour more to my liking. The silver face on the gray version looks fine but the band only works if you like your wrist to look French!

  • Damn, ordered silver and now silver grey is available (which I would prefer)

    • Send the Rep a private message on here and ask to swap it if it's not already posted.

      • +1

It's already posted :( damn their efficent handling times!

  • anyone's been delivered yet?

    • +2

Got both of mine (took advantage of 2 seperate deals because of the colours available https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/277191). Of the Silver Grey and Silver versions I much prefer the silver which was not expected. This is probably due to the colours of the bands or my pale IT skin ;)

Watch quality is pretty good, watch face is clear and markings are crisp. I haven't timed them to see how accurate the little dials are, they are a bit of a gimmick to me, but look nice. Time will tell (hehe) for the main watch piece. The watch bands are very average. They are the 1 piece style and connect both sides. It adds an extra flap of band that doesnt really do anything. I'm guessing though that no one expected much from canvas band on a <$15 watch.

I'll probably buy a watch band for one of them at least, maybe something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/311684320021
