For those who missed out on the 'possibly fake' Gel Kayano 23s from COTD today. We were going to get a pair but thought better of it, just in case they are fake or not 100% Kosher, meaning NQR Kayano.

I tried this shoes on over the weekend at Southwarf DFO (selling for 180ish, RRP 250).

IMO quite comparable to the Kayano but each to their own, I own the Kayano 18s… I know, I know, a few seasons behind, and I really do not like them, and I have been using the cheaper NB 860s, so much so that my K18s are almost brand new.

Anyhow, the wife (who is the real runner) swears by her Kayanos, she also liked this shoes when she tried them on. We purchased a couple of pairs.

I believe this are the top of the line running shoes from New Balance.

Use the NBSTAR30 code (not sure on expiry date) to go from $160.00 to $112.00 at the check out.

At least you know you are getting the real deal coming from the official NB site and free returns if you are not happy with the product.

  • Size 10 only in Men's?

    • I must've got the last size 13.

    • the other colour has more sizes available

      • Thanks but Silver & Orange combo doesn't impress.

    What asics COTD deal?

I don't think they are selling fakes to be honest. Have purchased shoes from COTD before and have been the real deal.

  • I can vouch that these shoes are awesome! Super comfy/cushioned.

I've tried Asics, Mizuno, Saucony and Brooks and have settled on these.

Also if you have wide feet, this is probably the best right now in the market.

  • I got these for $59 from Running Warehouse a couple of months ago.

Same, insane price for these shoes…moved to these from Kayano 21's, and they noticeably lighter, very happy with them, regretted not buying 2 pairs! The wide toe box does take some getting used to though…

They have these two colourways at $129.95 currently (+ $5.00 delivery)

Op you'd be better off getting the v6 for $125 on NB half price sales.

    • Well we already purchased them, are the V6 substantially better. for $112.00 I reckon you can't go wrong.
My wife actually has the V2s. Bought around the time she got into the Kayanos, after trying the V5 over the weekend she said she'll give the V2s a go again, just in case she was too harsh on her original assessment. Like My Kayano 18s her V2s are almost brand new.

  • Hey if any of you are interested I've a pair of 860v6 men's running shoes never used just cuz I got wrong size,
    Is US 12 UK 11.5 Eu 46.5

  • Thanks OP purchased.

    Edit:

I have owned kayano 17-19 and currently 22.

    I have owned 1260 v3 and v4

I much prefer the 1260 over the kayano so these are perfect for when my kayano 22's die.

  • So I order the 1260v5 in awesome blue colour this morning. Was so excited as I was looking forward to new running shoes. My asics kayano 19's have just about given up.
I get an email half an hour ago the shoes are no longer available and not in stock. So annoyed man.

    • Bummer!.
We received ours today… rather they were delivered but we weren't home, off to AusPost tomorrow.

    • BTW, I queried with them if i can exchange at the NB store in Southwarf if the size is not quite right. They replied "The only store you may be able to exchange at is the Chadstone concept store. This is if they have the stock to exchange.:.

So if you live close by, then you can give that a go I guess, check if they stock this model and the right size.
