Do not order now, they'll be at half-price for $99 USD; wait for the sale between 18th and 25th of November.

Black Friday sales are starting early on Amazon this year and extending for 35 days. I saw this deal on two websites now and thought of sharing it; even though this means I might miss out on it because I'll be late as usual. It's a pretty damn sweet deal, honestly did not even know the HD 598's come in closed-back design prior to seeing this deal.

EDIT: This explains why I have not heard of the closed 598 Cs: Date first available at Amazon: September 30, 2016.

I don't know how much it will cost in AUD with the exchange rate and the postal service taken into account (but it shouldn't be more than $150 AUD). I will update the title, once the deal is on. For now the prices are in US, and there are some other deals too. Check them out below.

      I did have USD in the title and I also had it at $99 USD (Half-Price). The mods changed it to $211.55 USD and $280 AUD even though I clearly state that the HALF PRICE deal starts between the 18th and the 25th. I guess I'll wait for it to actually hit half price and then I'll edit the title again. But yes, these are going to cost $99 USD, as evident by both articles I shared from CNN and the Verge.

    They appear to be the new HD569 in an HD598-style shell. Not the same drivers as the HD598.

      It'll probably be on Friday. Thought it might kick in earlier. But no one knows. All we know is that it'll kick in between the 18th and 25th.

    Deal is live at Amazon UK - works out to be roughly the same price (£74.17 after VAT removal, plus £13.87 postage), as what the US sale price will be.

      Thanks a bunch. Had a couple of these in my Amazon US cart this morning, proceeded to the place order screen and got a "no stock" message when going to the payment page. Very happy to replace my brainwavz which have snapped after minimal use where the speaker connects to the band (and they dont sell spare parts, nor can they be repaired)
