28% off Lego Mindstorms EV3 31313 $359.28 @ Target eBay

340
CAUS10

Normally $499 and difficult to find stocked let alone on special!

Credit wholly due to the respective posters and commenter durd0008
Just highlighting the bargain for others as I have an IFTTT alert set up for Lego Mindstorms which did not trigger due to "Mindstorms" not being in the title.

20% off at Target - Yiey
10% off with eBay deal - xkp

$499 * 0.8 * 0.9 = $359.28
(499 - 359.28) / 499 = 28% discount

    Terrific price

Wish I had a kid to use as an excuse for buying this set; I imagine it's a lot of fun.

Purchased for my nephews, 4 and 6.
They might need my help for a couple of years though…

      • +3

It says 10 years + on the box.
Ohh hang on a minute. Its for 4 year and 6 year old kids. That does make it 10 years together.

You have lucky nephews! Can i be your nephew too? :P

  • Wish I could justify this purchase!

    Dont forget 1.25% off cashrewards!!

Holiday10 is for the target website … believe this is supposed to be c10AUZ for those that havent used it off ebay.

    • That is correct.

    • I'm aware of the confusion surrounding that code, read the bargain comments for more details but I've purchased with CAUS10.

Thanks OP! Just grabbed one. Hopefully I use this one, unlike the NXT 2.0 that's sitting unopened in my cupboard!

We used the ev3 but nxt still in box ….hmm second ev3 and have robot wars with my 9 year old ?

  • C10AUZ does not work. How.

      CAUS10

      • Thanks.

  • Thanks OP

  • Damn, "item not available"!

  • +1

    $499 * 0.9 = $359.28? That's wrong. OP's original version was correct "$499*.8*.9 = $359.28", but to be displayed correctly, it's better to be $499 * 80% * 90% = $359.28

  • Cash Rewards :D

Damn, its expired, I think I just saved $359 :)

    Target online still available via:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/276281

    use code HOLIDAY10

    • The price (with code) is $389.20. This one is for $359.28. Is there any way to get it down to $359.28?

      • Yep, just don't buy one :)

      • Can't really go down to $359.28 but I bought with Coles Myer gift cards, which effectively brought the price down to $369.74, still not a bad price considering there were a lot more stocks on Target website than ebay (although it's also sold out @ Target online now).

  • dont mean to sound weird or down voted but why so much money for a lego robot?! $400

    • +2

It's the sensors and motors also used by schools for robotic subjects ……hence great resale even if used on Ebay also can sell the parts if set is incomplete and still get good money ….other Lego sets once opened resale is base on $$ per kg.

  • It looks like Target online is the only available place (other than Lego S@H) to buy this set now.. Toy'r'us has run out of the stock, and apparently there is no stock in a physical Target store available (at least none in VIC).

  • Damn!, I buy a ton of EV3 kits to donate to schools for FIRST Lego League, I wish I had seem this earlier, could have got an extra 4 kits :(

    • +1

If you have just bought them, you can buy the same quantity from Target now, and return the new items with the old receipt to where you originally purchased.

      • +2

But if you can afford to donate ton of this to schools, then you probably don't care about the savings :P

        • +3

By the sounds of it, it is not the savings, the fact they could get an extra few kits which in turn helps more kids!

  • +1

Off topic, but what scope is your IFTTT search @tristanmarsh?, just eBay or some more retailers? Wouldn't mind setting up something similar

  • Schools must be using the EDUCATION VERSION (which is more advanced than this commercial bought ones) Isnt it ??
