Even though this model has been discontinued, I can vouch for its video quality as I have been using one from 2 years or so and never had any issues.
You can easily get a 8GB memory stick for about $20-$25 on Ebay if you don't like the mess of DVDs.

i have had a bookcase delivered with a large damaged piece, and was sent on a wild goose chase getting a refund I never got (despite what thier policies say ) and stuck with a heavy defective bookcase

i have a similar model, too bulky/heavy and dvd space is too short, only about 20 min high quality, buy it if you have a big memory card
hate graysonline, i dont trust em they had a few things i was interested in buying but there were fake so now i steer clear off em
grays have a reputation for shocking customer support so not surprised people are negging this
great if you own some 8 or 16Gb ms pro cards
i like it how they hide the pertinent facts… here it is:

it's SD (ie. 720 x 576p)
it records to DVDRW (you don't wanna do this) or MS Pro (granted these cards are pretty cheap on ebay but SD would be nicer)
it does have a nice Carl Zeiss 60x lens and has IS
is it worth $200? it would be if it took SDs…
Target are doing the Sony 60GB HDD model for $269 which also have the card option, saw the card model for $199. Both are more recent and better deals for me.
DVD models are so ancient now…..
yeah grays is so funny, plus a lot hidden fees. im very kind in term of negging but please be careful wit grays.
about the product, well, who wants a dig cam with dvd now, get 1 with HDD..
