Which one do you think is objectively better between Deezer and Spotify?
Spotify - much easier to navigate and find songs and playlists. Deezer is great if you have the time to make your own playlists and search for individual songs.
I'm the opposite, I much prefer Deezer and find it easier and flow just seems to come up with the right music. However due to no free streaming with Optus I'm trying Google Play Music now which is better than Spotify as well IMO.
How do they make money from this if a lot of stingy people like me buy 3 months for 99 cents and then cancel until another similar offer is posted…

You can just cancel your membership. It will last the full three months and then cancel itself.

For those wondering, just create a new account, use friends or mums CC/debit card. Get premium, follow your old account to listen to all your songs!

Don't forget to login on a web browser and cancel subscription straight away so there is no recurring billing to your mum or friends!

What's the difference between free and premium account? I got this deal last time and have been on the free account ever since, can't tell the difference! I thought free was supposed to play audio ads and limit the amount of times you can skip songs etc. Never heard a single ad, never been blocked from skipping. I literally can't notice a difference since my premium ended.
How certain are you that your premium ended? It does auto-renew. Maybe check the bank account??
That's the first thing I thought too…yep I've checked I'm definitely not getting charged, and in the Spotify settings it says "Account:Free" and has the "Upgrade" button active. I'm scared to click on the "View Account" or "Upgrade" buttons as I reckon some bug has caused me to get free premium all this time and I don't wanna do anything that might revert it back to a true free account.

Thanks OP, can confirm that existing users without a current premium subscription can get the 3 months premium for $11. 99 deal. Been listening to ads since the last deal so this will make for a much needed reprieve from the ads.
FYI, I'm an existing spotify user with an account already, just needed to click "Go Premium" within the app and paid with PayPal.

Just be careful with this, I've read Spotify are planning to crack down on family accounts like yours where they're not under the same household. Not sure exactly how, or when exactly (probably through IP address checks among other things), but yeah just an FYI anyway.

Just noticed for a single subscription, music cannot be streamed in 2 places at once eg. Sonos at home for family and in car/work. Alert pops up saying cannot stream on app in 2 places.
Apple music can stream simultaneously in multiple locations on the same account and is similar features/range. So will reluctantly stick to Apple music for same price…
