Hey people, to make this deal stretch for everyone (not me, I'm going Friday) please buy from those stores willing to price match as some stores only price match when there is stock at the competition. So if everyone buys Target / Big W stock and they sell out other stores may not price match anymore.
Whilst I hear what you are saying and agree to an extent, I also disagree. We should largely be rewarding the stores themselves who have the sales. If people just price match and don't buy games from Target and Big W, there is a high chance they will stop selling in the near future. Some Big Ws have already stopped selling games. If that happens we all lose as there will no longer be any competition or good sales. So EB and Jb will be free to charge what they please to an extent.
Oh I understand and agree, but at these prices, will this batch of stock be around long? I can't imagine so, but then I've not worked at these kind of shops and they may have ton of stock out the back or something.

I usually prefer Price matching due to not wanting the crappy security sticker to be put on to the game, only to be removed and leaving gunk where it once was.

I've seen plenty at my local but they have no World of Final Fantasy. Builders is a fantastic game, hopefully you find a copy.

Haha! I wish, I only received it yesterday with shipping times. Played a few matches and can say I was the chump.. Not sure if there is an issue with my XB1 or the game yesterday but I had problems with finding any match other than the Attrittion game mode; all of the other modes would say "0 players in your region" on a Sydney server. Google didn't really help other than a few others saying they had the issue too. Hope this is fixed when I get on tonight!
I got tf2 with the discount code on psn for $54… still glad i got the digital version and really loving the game… but will definitely pick up watchdog, bf1, cod and dishonored 2… so many games so little time to play…

The thing is there is literally heaps of players in your so called "clan" or whatever that everyone is assigned to when you first log in. So you can see heaps of people online. I hope its just my personal bug, nobody else has really spoken about it. So I hope this doesn't put you off buying it!

Depends on the store. We don't let customers do that, the returned item needs to be "processed". We actively discourage this, because otherwise every sale people would just do this and its a waste of everyones time.

I went into the water gardens store in vic on Sunday and showed them the target catologue page and they price matched battlefield 1 for me
It seems that EB Games is the only game retailer along with jB Hifi left. Kmart, Target and Big W have almost literally no stock anymore. In one year I expect Target and Kmart to exit games completely and well… for Big W it's been a waste of time for years. Simply no stock ever.

Went to BIG W this morning, was told Watch Dogs and Titanfall 2 was $180, said the sale was online only and she had never heard of it. :(

@Morty: The promo stuff was for the store (a A4 mini-poster) which had arrived today, so I assume it's at least regional and most likely national. No mates rates, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. See Noobist45's post below which confirms it in NSW (or Wollongong at least!). They DID have the grey version in stock as there was a current (more expensive at $399) deal.
OK. So now the plan is:
Target at 8.00am for games + Lego Dimensions Starter pack
Big W at 8.30am and ask them to hold an XB1S for me
The run down to JBhifi for a 9.00am opening (assuming the hipsters are awake) and check if they have the $319 deal.
Then get a coffee and decide if I actually want Mine Craft for me and/or my son ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
UPDATE: On hold now with my local JBhifi and they have no idea what I'm talking about which probably means the deal is legit.
UPDATE 2: According to game guy (was speaking to someone who was about to ask manager) it's $379 up until their Christmas catalogue comes out. Since the bundle is currently $399 on the website (not $379) he probably didnt know what he was talking about.
UPDATE 3: Just spoke to Wolongong store and they confirmed they are doing the $319 deal - He's got a flyer and all. 10/10 for customer service mate, told me if I have any troubles I can get my local store to speak to him. What a legend.

How sure are we that the Big W catalogue is legit? The stores (2 of them I just spoke to) didn't know anything about the "sale" 5 minutes ago & the 2pm price update that usually happens didn't happen.

I got the same at Big W Broadmeadows about 10 minutes ago. The girl said they had no catalogue or flyer with these new prices on, so couldn't sell it to me early. At that point it was scanning for $85, so a $50 discount probably is hard to convince someone of, without evidence.
