USB cables are typically commodities and the rule of thumb is that the lower the price the more of it people will buy.

And if you're selling USB type C cables make sure they've been given the Benson tick of approval.

If the cables are $5, I might get two; $10 each I'm probably only buying one, but >$10 most will think is a ripoff.

USB C-to-C cables don't need that. Only A-to-C ones do.

This is OzBargain, you don't want to ask that question

I will pay $1, where is my option?

  • Who's ever gonna say anything but the lowest one?

  • aliexpress says from US $1.60 to 2.00 for cables 50cms to 2ms

But did that Benson dude approve them?

        <profanity> sick of Benson

      • If they're USB C to C they don't need Benson approval. Only Type-A to C.

      • Not for USB c to USB c cables. They don't need the resistor.

  • Using a cheap ($1) USB C from Aliexpress with my Le Max 2 now with my work computer. Works fine as charger and (MTP) data transfer.

Anyway I would be happy to pay $5 for a good quality USB cable.

  • I would pay up to $12 for a Benson approved fast charging Type-A to C cable from an Aussie seller.
