I went back when it was 30 bucks, was in and out in 2 hours was so shit. Heading to movieworld tomorrow for the 30 bucks aswell hopefully better!

Just got back from both dreamworld and movieworld for the $30 facebook promotion and $30 Norther QLD promotion (they only asked for a postcode).
Dreamworld was good, as it was Fridays before the school holidays. 15 mins wait max even when the Giant Drop was only operating at half capacity.
MovieWorld was pretty bad, being yesterday, the 1st weekday of the school holidays. 90 minute waits, couldn't make it on to Superman Escape before the end of the day…
I'd say not worth it, wait till school hols are over!

do dreamworld/ www do a similar financial yearly pass? Perhaps this one is on sale as they are about to launch a new campaign?
I'm keen on getting an annual pass for dreamworld etc as I just did the others this financial year, but this one is only valid for less than 6 months
The last special on Dreamworld/White Water World passes was in December 09 and was $99 for a pass that expires on the 24th of Dec (same as this new $69 one).
There is speculation on their Facebook page that a new one will be launched soon but nothing has been confirmed by the company.
what mechanism do they use to check ID, if at all?
Well it depends on what kind of ticket you are getting.
If you are after one of the resident postcode things, they don't check your ID they simply ask you what your post code is. They do put a sticker on the tickets, but these ones will have a proper plastic card because its a longer than a week pass.4212 is a postcode right next to dreamworld, helensvale.
The theme parks are quite popular at the moment, even with the cold weather in qld.
Atleast a 15minute wait just to get out of movieworld the other day.thanks for the info. I've heard with the myfun deal they normally just make you sign something, but perhaps that has changed recently??
they take a picture of you with a webcam and stick in on the ticket.
For those that want to book regular tickets do yourself a favour and book over the phone as when i had to cancel tickets cause of my dad's accident, the internet branch said they can't but the telephone department said they could have. In the end had to send in hospital report to get refund, minus the booking fee :((

I've heard that sometimes dreamworld have random daily deals such as $20-$30 entry that you just pay when you get there. Can anyone confirm this?
They have had 2 $30 entries fairly recently for Facebook fans and Courier Mail readers (both posted on oz bargain), however these are never available at the gate generally when they are.
This offer is about to be superseded by a $99 pass valid till June 30 2011.
Those who already bought this pass can upgrade by paying the extra $30 from monday.
