  • So if you stay 1 night you can use the tickets on the day of check in and the day of check out?

    • +1

Yep! Got emailed tickets for both days at 8:30am on the day of check in.

We didn't stay there but did check in after a full day at Wet n Wild just so we could go early for breakfast before another full day at Movie World

      • How was the breakfast?

        • +2

Pretty great selection for a buffet breakfast. Had read some reviews that it can be a bit rough if a large tour group are there as well but was quiet for us.

          Breakfast finishes at 9:30am

      • Where did you stay?

        • 10 day trip - We were staying in Surfers Paradise

          • @Brew43: Thats a long drive for breakfast! But I guess if you are heading into the Movie World after it does make sense.

            • @truetypezk: Yep and accommodation was booked long ago. Been hitting the parks this week while kids were meant to be at school - It's been pretty smooth.

Got a sweet deal on a rental car $360 for 10 days using a code from OzB makes it all worth it

              • @Brew43: can you tell the code or point to the thread pls

              • @Brew43: oh wow how old are the kids when you took them out of school?

I'm already annoyed at wife coz we only have the first one in Kindy and she doesn't want to take him out for snows in feb so he doesn't miss out school and im like wtf its not the end of the world, not like he is in high school or studying for HSC

                • +1

@prankster: Honestly, is your kid going to remember every single day of school, or that awesome holiday they had with mum and dad?? Maybe in the later years every single day is important but kindy?? Primary school?? No. Your kid will be fine.

                  • @lainey13: thank you! and yes somehow to encourage the wife to take the kids out of school for a holiday

              • @Brew43: where did you fly from assuming it was easier to fly into GC then just drive all the way there :)

                • +1

                  @prankster: Up from VIC!

Kids are 10 and 13 - Think it’s the perfect age for it

  • When you book does it ask the name or each person?

    • +1

      It did not.

Just asks how many adults and how many children

  • Any discount code?

  • +2

Looks like you can book without the buffet breakfast for $140 per night. Great value!

    • Is that with theme park entry? If so, could you link to it, please? I can't seem to find it.

      • +1

Can’t seem to link it. I selected the $159 offer, then as you progress there’s a “Family packages” option lets you select “Farmstay and Theme Parks” for $140 instead of “Stay, Play and Save”. Same description as the above offer but without the buffet breakfast!

      • I can't find an option for no brekkie either. Wonder if its only certain dates

        • +1

So I booked for 2 adults 2 child. I believe because the children are under 3 that must be why I got that price. Apologies for the confusion!

          • @bigdogbray: Yes that's the price you get if you book for just 2 adults.

  • +2

Stayed at this place about a week ago - we really enjoyed it.
Although you may be woken occasionally during the night by their howling dingoes… but they were really cute and we ended up getting some photos with them during our stay :)

  • What was included with the breakfast? I checked the website and it looked like pretty standard fare (hash browns, eggs, bacon) but I assume there was more on offer

  • +8

I can’t believe everyone is focusing on the breakfast here. That’s $1000 worth of theme park tickets for $149.

    • -4

Nah, not even close. 3 day pass going price is around $200 mark.

      • +1

dunno about you but I reckon $1000 and $800 is quite close

      • +1

        You realise this is for 4 people right? $200 x 4 = $800.

  • +1

I feel sorry for people that actually wanna stay there if nights book out because people going just for $159 two day entry for 4 ppl who aren't going to stay at the place.

But it is such amazing value compared to buying individual passes.

EDIT: Not sure if already posted, but Sea World resort is also having their deal until end of September for $299/night for 4 ppl: https://seaworldresort.com.au/package-deals/stay-play-and-sa…

  • Does anybody have experience with how check in/out or parking works with a camper van? Thinking how that would work with having a full day at the theme parks. E.g.:

check in is 2pm. Is it easy enough to check in at 4-5pm if you've been at Sea/Movie World all day? Do the theme parks have camper parking? Will Paradise Country allow you to leave your trailer somewhere for the day?

Similar questions for check out (by 10am) if you plan to spend the day at theme parks.

couldn't find much on the website.

    • +1

The car parks down the hill at Wet n Wild and Movie World are massive. There is also general parking lots halfway up the hill for the farm stay although not sure how you get to the theme parks from there

      • +1

Thanks! I reached out to the team with the same questions and got a quick reply:

"All our theme parks can accommodate trailer/caravan parking as we have large parking lots & overflow parking. Otherwise, Paradise Country general public car park will have space or there is bus bays which you can choose to leave your trailer parked while you visit the theme parks."

        Hope this helps others.

  • https://paradisecountry.com.au/park-info/farmhouse-restauran… Is this where the buffet brekkie is? Seems to suggest only open for brekkie on weekends and during the week in school hols

    • +1

We had breakfast there this morning again so unsure, may need to call to confirm.

Currently waiting for the movie world parade to start, this has def been one of the best deals I’ve found/used

  • Can only see $249 for this deal, have checked all dates . Anyone else?

    • +1

I can see it for tomorrow night @159 - Didn’t check any others

      • Thanks, I was only looking at weekends where it seems the price is $249

        • +1

I’ll add a note on the deal that it’s from $159.

Looks like Friday and Saturday are all $249 like you said.

  • There should be an option on ozbargain to give tip to OP, you saved me almost 500$ mate. Thanks :)

    • Enjoy your trip!

  • I’m seeing breakfast as an extra?

  • Booked in for today last night, checking out tomorrow. Still have not got the theme park tickets yet

    • Did they arrive? Mine arrived at 8:36am

      • Hi, if booking for just one night, do you get tickets for 4 people for 1 day or two days? thanks

    • Are you actually staying there?
