    In my opinion, they're bluechip providers alongside other stalwarts. Depending on the deals offered, I have subscribed to Dreamhost, Hostgator, Namecheap, Godaddy and others for US shared hosting and Bluehost was definitely the best in my experience.

  I used Bluehost for years. They're pretty bad, but from the impression I get they are comparable with others in the price range.

  So far as I can tell, the best way to go is basically to cycle 'new customer' plans since they're all happy to screw existing customers on price.

  I only ever use the PRO package with Bluehost and have never had any issues. (over 10 years)
  You get what you pay for.

  Does not work for renewals. Else you have to create a new account and transfer all your domains across. A lot of work.
