    Hi,

    Unfortunately we used to do a VPS deal (50% off) but our pricing has risen significantly so it's harder for us to remain profitable and discount VPS.

    Looking at BinaryLane pricing, it seems very similar to ours for Windows VPS (once considering their pricing excludes GST).

    I can see that their linux VPS is cheaper though, along with OVH. If you PM me we can hopefully work something out, but only for Linux VPS. We wouldn't be able to do this for Windows right now :(

  A few years ago, I took on the task of setting up my club's new website (and then managing it). I went with these guys for the web hosting and had no regrets. I stepped down from the club at the start of this year, I hope the new person managing the website doesn't change the web host!

    Yep - Unfortunately we used to have these as low as $9/yr. Our provider increased prices massively to a point where we had to increase pricing to $48/yr to roughly break even. We sent out notification to all clients regarding this and also honored existing time (e.g. if an IP was paid 3 years in advanced) even though this was costing us $40/yr per client.

    Remember these IPs are optional, so we can always revert you to a shared IP which is included in the service and doesn't incur the $48/yr cost. I agree it's absurd, but we've had price rises on all services constantly from suppliers and haven't increased any of our core offerings (besides this add-on so we're not losing money). The rest we're just absorbing costs on.

    It does, all inclusive. So 5GB plan could facilitate 3GB emails 2GB web data/databases, etc.

    Generally this is OK unless you have a very large email storage in which case you may be better looking at the budget hosting with more storage (If you just want emails).

    Yep plenty of our customers, most even, use WordPress. Starter plan is usually fine if a small/low traffic WP site.

    Is this in the billing area? We have an annual discount of 2 months for the SSD plans, so the regular Intermediate pricing is $14.95/mo, or $149.50/annually.

    Then a 50% discount is applied to $7.48 or $74.75/annually. This works out to about $6.23/month equivalent. If you let me know where you see it exactly I can clarify further, but essentially it sounds like the monthly equivalent price of an annual plan.

    You'd be getting both the benefits of 50% off, then a further 2 month discount for going annual. Thanks :)

  My VentraIP hosting renewal just came in, same specs as your Starter, at $198 per year!
  I've been with them for over a decade but their discounted price is not even close to your $34.75 per year.

    We've replied to your ticket. Unfortunately our fraud system is a bit keen sometimes, we've had a huge influx of actual fraudulent orders which was costing us money with chargebacks hence upping the fraud system.

    The payment wasn't kept (It gets processed and marked as fraud, then cancelled). So that is immediately refunded but may take some time to show up in your statement.

    Sorry about that though - Just reply to our ticket if you have any further questions too :)
