Age of Empires II: $4.99 USD (it's been $2.99 before and was $3.99 just a week or two ago)

Maybe you should try AOE III. It has nicer graphics. I don't mind the graphics of AOE II and the game play is much more fun!
If you buy this, get the expansion packs. They are well worth it!
It's one of the few strategy games I like. You can't get much better, in my honest opinion. A great balance of simplicity,complexity and challenge. It's rare I play with cheats, but they're handy on tough levels, or for carnage.

More people play age two than age three. Age II is quite competitive.
It's also the progression of the gameplay. AOEIII doesn't make you work hard to build your infrastructure the way AOEII does. The whole broad history of ancient Britons, French, Germans, Huns, Goths, Indians, … you get the idea. AOEII covers just about all ancient warfare and most cultures. AOE III by comparison was more polished but lacked the variety of challenges and didn't have the same interesting history.

No. But unless you use a tool like Paralells. I actually play on a Mac by using bootcamp (two operating systems on one machine). You can get a liscenced copy of windows from Ebay germany for around $12-15AUD. Search previous posts on this topic.
