Not much of a sale for men

    • Men don't shop at Oroton for themselves

      • Any good sites for men to shop for wallet?

        • ebay surprisingly, local AU store sell carbon fibre leather wallets. I just got one, minimalist wallet but very nice.

have a look on eBay for some local companies selling stuff around 20-30 bucks, I wont go back to billabong wallets and stuff again

        • I don't know if they have an online presence, but Strandbags (yes, really) have some pretty great real leather wallets available and last time I got one was pretty damn cheap too. Colorado is the brand I snagged, not sure if they have others.

        • @WillRay92: colorado wallets are not that great. The leather will start fraying within the year. The oroton wallet is significantly better quality. Even the myer ones such as jeff banks etc is better than the colorado

        • @maverickjohn: I've had this Colorado wallet for nearly 2 years now, the only thing that's gone wrong with it is that the coin zipper broke. No fraying at all.

    80% off for a tote is $95?

    Kathmandu of bags?

  • Is it only online or in store as well?

  • +10

Do they sell manbags? I'm asking for a friend…

    • Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see a fair few.

  • So with 68 votes, is this really good deal? Can someone share what they buy or what's worth the price? Thx in advance

    • I personally think it is, a good decent gift to GF, Xmas gifts, mom. Eg some of the totes went from $600 to under $100. (your GF will love you for supposedly buying her >$600 bag for <$100, just don't let her see the receipt haha)

I personally bought slim clutch wallet for my mom (normally $300 down to $88).

      • How long did you have to wait for delivery? I ordered a bag 2 days ago and still no shipping confirmation :(

        • based on other people's experience expect 5-6 working days.

  • It's still 70% off after some calculation

  • One of those heavily discounted sales that still does not seem like a sale lol

  • The large totes make good Xmas gift. Thanks OP.

  • If you want to surprise a lady with how thoughtful and classy you are these $95 bags go a long way. With her and her friend!
The iPad sleeve for $67.50 or a purse for $40 is great value.

    • Lol depends who. For some people brands like coach or michael kors is the minimum

      • To me Oroton is more branded & more expensive than MK.

  • Outlet is always touted at up to 70% off. Bag I bought for my wife from the outlet 2 months ago is still same price.

Yes, the RRP's are a tad of a joke BUT for a very high quality product that's generally pretty classy without being overly pretentious it's a very nice little offer - especially with the free shipping and cashback tossed in.

Grabbed my wife one of these last night for her work:

She was very happy with that so I've just placed a surprise order for one of these, which was her 2nd choice and is a tad more casual/relaxed - but very classic & timeless design:

A lot of the items are sold out now - which kinda vindicates it being a good buy for those who like Oroton & don't mind paying a tad more than you could for a basic handbag (as personally paying $100's for a handbag is kinda beyond me BUT my wife is very good with everything else so a lil luxury on a handbag is a very small tradeoff!) - but still some nice stuff there especially if you don't mind non-black colours.

IMHO this bag is a great buy for someone: http://www.oroton.com.au/stencil-tote-large-navy-taupe_10012…
The choc & taupe combo is very understated and classy, you just need to ensure that you scotchguard or similar as they can stain easily - my wife used to have very similar one and would have bought again but she didn't want a tote. :-)

    Thanks OP. :-)

I now don't buy Oroton unless it's 70- 80% off sale …they have fallen into the trap.

  • Does anyone know how long is shipping? I need to have it delivered by next week for Christ Kringle

    • up to 10 days… but maybe it'd be quicker since you're in Sydney.

    • I ordered some stuff on Tuesday afternoon last week and was delivered today. So 6 days to metro Sydney in my case.

  • Bought one. Anniversary Gift For Wifey. Good timing

  • No returns allowed?

    • +2

What would be the point? You'll still be stuck with the wife…

  • does anyont have the large kiera b hobo? it looks very stiff but I saw one on ebay preloved which looked slouchy. wonder if it is an old one and leather has changed, or whether it will look like this when not packaged?
also does this sale end at midnight?

Got to say VERY unimpressed with the incredibly crap customer service & overall sales experience from Oroton. Took them 5 days, 4 of them being business days to even issue me with a tax invoice - despite the fact they accepted full payment for two items totaling over $300. Dunno if thats even legal but very poor as even the absolute entry level etailers issue tax invoices immediately.

It's now nearly 8 days later and despite them saying they issue trackable postage nothing on their finally supplied tax invoice is actually trackable via their courier, DHL's site.

Contacted their customer service over 24hrs ago and no reply as of yet - very, very, VERY unimpressed - it's the type of online sales experience I'd expect to have had perhaps 10yrs ago and with a dodgy, hole in the wall company - not a pretender to being a genuine luxury brand. :-(

    • I purchased on Friday and I have not had any confirmation of sale etc. Very very frustrating! There should be a timeline until delivery. For some online stores I would already have received their product!

From what I can tell their customer service is abysmal. Anyone financially savvy should look to short their stock.

      • FWIW they never even bothered to reply - thats a full week plus ago!

Eventually both bags arrived - I used to work right near an outlet they had in Surry Hills and must have spent thousands on items for my wife and myself. The quality back then was excellent - but I have the say the current stuff is much, MUCH more inferior!

The leather is very entry level stuff the same calibre of that which you find in very generic quality handbags - my wife has a 'cheapie' bag I got her from Aldi and it's of the same quality. Stitching quality & amount has dropped and just overall the bags feel much lesser and have the feel they'd come apart after a year or so.

I wrote a very detailed explanation asking for a reply from Oroton and to have no reply AT ALL disgusts me - they won't be seeing another single dollar from me and I will go out of my way to ensure I let anyone I know aware of their decline into a shoddy faux-luxury brand who no longer puts out top quality products and has zero after sales commitment to its loyal customers.

        • Hmm… I think the fact that they discount by so much, means that it's not as "high-end" as it used to be. I wouldn't expect it to be in the same league as say, LV.
