I was shopping around for an iPhone SE 64gb on the weekend and noticed not many places are stocking it anymore.
JB-HI-FI told me they had one left and it was showing as a discontinued item for them.
With the recent BigW and Harvey Norman sale on this phone would people agree it is potentially on its way out already?
Anyone heard otherwise?
I did a quick search, it still seems to be $679 at Harvey Norman and JB.
I also prefer the form factor of the 5S and SE over the new 6 and 7's.
Now I shall keep an eye out for any "clearance" sales…
I prefer the form-factor of the 5S too, but not its size.
The boxy, square sides are much more grippier to hold.
If they had an iPhone 7 Plus with that body, 5.5in display, and a Screen-to-Body ratio of >70% (ie/ slim bezels) then I'd be sold.
Of course, I want that AUX port though.
Until then, I'm gonna stay on Team Nexus.
The SE was also sold at a more reasonable price too! - still expensive for what it is, but much cheaper compared to the 6 and 6S.
I wouldn't be surprised. I brought a gold 64gb from the recent mobilciti 10% off deal and think its a great phone coming from a LG G2.
Downside about waiting for sales is if the SE is discontinued you may not hear about it until Apple withdrawals it.
Maybe you could try getting the 10% off JB gift cards at coles deal to reduce the price and then TRS it like I am?
I thought about buying JB gift card and do what you did, except i can't find stock with JB. I want to make sure there is stock before spending that much on a giftcard. Too bad, I missed out on the big w sale! It is such a good deal if combining it with wish giftcard (5% off) + TRS. If no sale after christmas, i'll just buy it. That's if i can find a stock at the local big w at all. Otherwise, will just order it online. It looks like stock is coming back online. Apple has no plan to redevelop a new gen SE. :(
You'd have to call around at Big Ws because they really only stock the 16gb version.
Even at mobiciti for $729 its not a bad price. In Bangkok now and they go for $800 AUD and in NZ its around the same price!

I picked up one recently for the wife from the mobileciti deal. Hopefully next gen they have a similar one (latest guts in the same form factor) as, for me, the SE/5/5S is spot on for size (well, preferred the 4S and earlier as it fit in my running shorts easily, but oh well).
