[ASK] Slowway/Lostway Does Not Want to Deliver My Parcel Even When I Already Asked Amazon to Put "Signature Required"

Hello Folks,
PS. Read the TLDR to save time :D

I have lost my parcel that I ordered on amazon a while ago and it says that my parcel has been delivered and left on the door because I have left the authority to do so.

However, I have never done that on Amazon website and I have contacted I-parcel who is the first carrier and they said it is the driver(Fastway Courier) decision to do that. Then, I asked the courier driver who said that "All amazon parcels are allowed to be left on the door".

Do you know what should I do regarding my current parcel and other parcels in the future?

Thank You Folks and have a nice day!

UPDATE 29/11/2016
Finally Amazon refunded me the money plus waive my shipping fee. So I carry on with ordering same items from amazon.

  1. I also contacted amazon to put the "signature required" note and they said they will assure that my parcel will be delivered to me with my signature and name only.
  2. I then texted the parcel delivery driver in my area to let her know about it but said she will not deliver it to me even when I already asked amazon to put the note "signature required"

  3. But She(SlowWay Driver) said all amazon parcels are ATL and she told me to stop contacting her or she will contact police….. 0_o

UPDATE 29/11/2016 from their Facebook Chat

Upon asking them how can I avoid them dropping my parcel, they replied me with this:

I apologies however there is nothing we can do.

They may need to send it under a different box as they one they sent is automatically left without a signature.

Kind Regards,

They really have the balls to ask me to ask amazon to ask for new box special for them and simply ignoring the note "signature required" ???

TLDR:
Bought smth from amazon, the driver drop it in the first floor of my apt building which was lost. Amazon refunded so I bought the same item and I told them I want "signature required" note added. I then kindly texted the driver to let her know that I already asked for the note. The driver said she will not deliver it because ALL AMAZON PARCELS ARE ATL…

  • Was there insurance on the parcel?

    • On fastway website, it is stated that there is liability of $1500 insurance though….

but my time was wasted and I am curious as to what will happen to my parcel in the future.

    • Fastway does not want to be responsible for this because apparently all amazons parcel are ATL because they don't require signature.

Then I told the driver that I have another parcel coming which I have already asked amazon to put the "signature required" not, she said that even then she will not deliver it to me because all amazon parcels are ATL.

  • This is the reply that I got from fastway :

    Message from Fastway
    Good afternoon,

Good morning Thank you for your online enquiry. Advising you that all Amazon parcel have authority to leave by the sender. Please contact your sender. regards Fastway Perth

??? Is this true and no one is responsible for my parcel??

  • Try contacting amazon?

They sent me a new item when the small item I ordered fell out of the package during delivery. But it was just a $15 item. I've found all fastway packages get left at my front door. You will probably have to specify somewhere in amazon to ask for a signature.

    • Yes I did and they said they are waving my shipping fee for my future order this time.

However, how do I avoid this happening again since Fastway said all parcels from amazon are to be left?

  • How did you get the drivers number?

I looked at their website under courier location then I put my postcode. Luckily she is the same person who deals with my parcel.

      • +2

Interesting. So in that case it would be a business mobile number.

As long as you were being civil, I'd be interested to see what she says to the police.

"This person messaged me on my work number politely asking me to do my job."

        • Hahaha

I know I tried to be polite the whole time anyway and I even apologized for raising her voice when I called her since I did not know amazon have the "ATL Policy". But she still lost her cool and kept saying she will not deliver it to me even when Amazon already confirmed that they will add the "Signature required" Note.

She lost my parcel and now she wants to be the victim by going to the police station.. My parcel and I are lost….

        • +1

@CurtinStudent: Did she really lose it or is it sitting under her Xmas tree? I message sellers now and if they use SlowWay I won't buy from them.

They are immune to complaints polite or not, their usual response is "yeah it's our fault but we don't care" - I don't know how they are still in business, but I do my bit to tell anyone that will listen what cowboys they are.

        • @iratepirate that is really true but I think all amazons are delivered using i-parcels who then either pass it through aus post or slowway…..

I actually got one of my parcel from Amazon through Aus Post few times and they always asked for signature too.

I did not even complained I was simply requesting and asking to them if they can deliver my item next time without dropping it to me and all she answered was "no, all amazon parcels are ATL".
