  Bought this torch from one of the previous deals here.

  This is a great torch, I thought I'd give NiteCore another chance after the EA4 button failure. Its bright easy to hold and control. Got the EA4, the Sunwayman D40A x 2 and this.

  Fast becoming my favourite.

    Yea i have the EA41. You must have heaps of Eneloops? How is the output on the EA45s compared to the D40A? I think i posted a D40A deal here in the past.

      Guilty on the Eneloops.

      I cannot tell the difference between the EA45s compared to the D40A to be honest.

      The EA45s has more modes than the D40A, so I only tried the turbo mode for both. Both had the same amount of output from my inexperienced eye. The D40A ran hotter faster at Turbo.

        Nitecore have generally made the 4AA style with poorer heat transfer than Sunwayman. If its less hot, its guilty of that too. I should check, I got a EA45S from everybuying (OzB deal a few months back)

        IN the past the EA41 for example dealt with it with step down, and they do so earlier.

        @Tuba: I have seen a tear down of a EA41 the heat sinking is great its made for a general consumer to not get hot. I have one but i have never taken it apart.

        @aussieprepper: Its just a plate on the EA41. And they were shown to step down early but its gradual so doesnt stand out. Someone with decent equipment at BLF did a test to show how quickly the LED got too hot and circuitry kicks in to save it.

        The Sunwayman D40A kills the EA41 in this regard. It seems I posted the original D40A deal here in 2014, two since then, 1 yours.

  I advise anyone looking to use Gearbest not to do it. There are videos on youtube etc which say "Gearbest sux" and they do suck.

  Yea you pay for what you get! I have put through about 30 orders at Gearbest i had one DOA and the sent out a new item straight! No issues with them!

  Shame the code only works for a quantity of 1 (which I've bought as a Christmas Present) —- Banggood is currently showing up as AU$80 - is there a code banggood is using to get it to that ~US$10 difference with gearbest?

      It looks nice — but with only 1 AA battery probably doesn't have the long lasting light one would expect.. oh well.. I'll just wait for another sale - boxing day?

        You will get about an hour on high mode from a AA NiMH. Its not bad because its producers 330 lumens. The EA45s will give you the same run time but more output. Then you also need more batteries. I can find you a light if you give me specs?

        The EA45S is the one I've had my heart set on - one of the guys at work had one and I was impressed - so I've bought one for my father (and paid for express delivery with gearbest) for Christmas and wanted one for myself ( I currently have a generic $30 one I bought that is about 3 watts - gets quite warm too) and wanted to upgrade to something with light control and the build on the EA45S…. I'm happy to wait for the next set of sales and buy again then.

  Placed my first order with gear best for this torch.Do people bother paying extra for Australia Express shipping and insurance? Is it worth it?

  I ask since i paid extra for the tracking info and express delivery. And the tracking number they sent is not valid.
