Just for the record. There's no eshop website to buy games on in Australia, only America.
I bought Pokemon Yellow back in February on the 3DS store in AUD. I'm confused by what you mean.

Keep in mind the space it takes up I think fills up the whole default SD card that comes with a new3ds (might even be too small).

Yeah. I have a day left before a My Nintendo offer of 15% off Mario Kart expires. I wouldn't normally bother for that small a discount except for how infrequent they are.
I suppose 15% + this 15% is decent.
Was rushing to earn the 500 and now decided I'll just wait for the Switch version. Traded in my remaining 5 discs, so feeling a bit awkward without Mario Kart among others in my quest for full digital.

Just curious. Can the eShop credit be used in Nintendo Switch? I have enough eShop credit for 3DS/Wii U. Just thinking if I should get some more credit for NS.

Absolutely hate Nintendo's eShops. Old 3DS died and couldn't do a store transfer, that's when I found out their eShop doesn't work the same way as Android/Apple's App stores… Only stores purchases locally on that device.

You can contact Nintendo and get them to transfer the Nintendo Network ID to a new console.
You need to contact the customer services and they are happy to do that for you. Mine got lost on the trip to Japan and they restored my eshop purchases to my new 3ds.
