      Yes it works, they scan the QR and no pin required. Just press ok when they prompt a pin

      Yep, but only in-store. (It cannot be redeemed on the EG Club app.)

      It sounds like in your case the attendant chose the wrong payment option on their checkout (eGift Card). That option should only be used for scanning the barcode of a gift card issued by Woolworths Group (i.e. EG gift card, Everyday WISH gift card, Essentials gift card). The correct payment option on their checkout is Ampol Digital Cash.

      The commenter above is correct in saying that the attendant is supposed to scan the QR code to redeem the gift card. However, when I fuelled up at an EG Ampol recently, the service station had a barcode scanner so old that it was unable to scan the QR code of my AmpolCash Digital gift card (even after cranking my phone's brightness to the maximum and trying to scan it at different angles and distances), so the attendant instead got me to manually enter the gift card's details into the EFTPOS terminal in order to redeem it.

          It sounded like that was the case, to be honest.

          A suggestion (if you think it is worth the effort) is to call EG and complain to them. I once did this when I had an attendant refuse to redeem Everyday Rewards Dollars (even though it was unlocked for redemption and I was at a NSW service station), and the area manager called me later to apologise and offered a 12c/L discount on my next visit.

      but if you plan on stacking with MyNRMA 4c off then that does work
      at EG.

        I wasn't able to use MyNRMA 4c off at EG. Only tried once but it didn't work. I've been going to Ampol Foodary instead to use MyNRMA discount.

          EG Ampol has never accepted the My NRMA discount.

          The My NRMA discount is only accepted in-store at Ampol Foodary (and the Ampol in Exmouth, WA).

          The Fuel Discounts wiki indicates the fuel discount offers accepted at a range of service stations across Australia, including EG Ampol and Ampol Foodary. The only fuel discount EG Ampol and (some) Ampol Foodary have in common is the Woolworths fuel discount, because most EG Ampol service stations and some Ampol Foodary service stations were part of the old Caltex Woolworths joint venture, which ran the Woolworths fuel discount.

      This one is brand specific (eg ampol and regular ampol) and works by scanning a QR code at the checkout

      Wallet pass or Pass wallet app (sorry can't remember the name exactly). The balance update is hit and miss. Sometimes, it will update the next morning, sometimes never. So I keep a Google Sheet on my phone to track expenditure.

      The shopback app holds the GCs and they refresh with the current balance after a little while (maybe a few hrs?). Personally, I always write the remaining value in the notes section after each use just to be sure.

      I buy $50 one and use one each time. Need some calculation after deduction of Woolworth and NRMA discount. So about 52-54 and pay the balance with card. Not the best way. But I only pump ampol occasionally as still more expensive after all the discounts.

      Probably not relevant, but for iphone's you copy the link of the card into a browser and then you can add it to the apple wallet. Not sure if that will work for Android?
