  • Was thinking about buying the Philips Airfryer, then someone recommend one from eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251838457433. Anyone has opinions on how the Philips compares to other air fryer on eBay?

    • Avoid Bellini ones, buttons stopped working after a couple months and it changes cooking mode partway through (e.g. from fries to meat)

  • There is no way you can get the $50 cashback. I followed all the instruction. 2 week later they sent me email saying the claim is invalid, and all documents together with the reason will be posted back to me. Then 1 more week later, they sent another email saying claim has been verified and $50 will be paid shortly. Now, after 6 weeks, I still haven't got anything from them, no cashback, no document post back to me.

  • yes i agree with coprocessor comment. no cashback given by philips . The quality is not so good feel more a technology pack in plastic especially expensive to buy at full price

  • I loved my XL, barely used it and it stopped working just out of warranty :/ It's still sitting here, thinking I can fix it lol seems to be a power supply problem I think.

you loved it so much you never used it and recommend it to everyone, great story

      • Well it was once or twice a week not every day, but what I was saying is that for a $400 machine it should have lasted a lot longer.

        • You can take this up with philips and quote ACL, they will fix it

  • Have had this for more than a year. Cooks food real fast compared to oven. We use it a lot for chicken nuggets, chips, etc.

  • How many serves of chips can this fryer do in one go?

  • I got a cheapy, from a random deal on here from some obscure place, I donr even remember where…paid $60 delivered.

It's great, we use it at least a couple times a week. When I have to cook for myself if the GF is out, or have to give the kid a quick slap up meal…….for the 3 of us it's great. I got the small, as originally was just me, only hindrance is the slightly smaller size compared to the so called XL or large models (3.2lite?) I think mine is 2.5?? But have nothing to compare it too.
I didn't want to spend big, it was just a trial to see if it was any good and would I use it and how much and if they are any good, it's my go to appliance, alongside kettle and toaster. Quick, easy, simple and no fuss.

My $60 one probably does as God a job as a $250 air fryer.
It's only an element with a fan, with a timer.
