Can this be stacked with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/276912?

    • +1

      no

      • how do you clear the code for other codes?

        • contact support / create new account

  • +2

Where do we enter this code?

    • +3

At checkout. I put through a fake order to the last step just so I could enter the code. Got the 10 free deliveries applied and then cancelled the order.

Edit: above is when using the full website

      • Doesn't seem to appear in the app.

    • In the app there is a 'Add a Promo Code' link in My Account

  • +14

literally a suburb over they do 30 places.
won't come to my area.. but the restaurants themselves deliver to my area.. kinda dumb…

    • same here!

    • +4

Why don't you give address of some house in that suburb and then stand outside that house in the suburb where they have service and get the order once the rider reaches there.

      • +30

Wayy to lazy for that. That's effort and probably requires pants.

    • +1

Not really, they have different delivery method (ie people on bikes), probably how they keep the costs low.

      • +1

If the store themselves will deliver literally 2 streets over and Deliveroo won't i'd be interested to understand their business plan in providing less coverage for obviously a % take of sale when i can call the place direct and have them deliver to me. Menulog and Eatnow are better options I feel, Deliveroo opens up places that might not have the delivery infra but that's their only benefit as far as I see.

  • +2

You can enter the code in the app but not the website (potentially can do it there if you place an order).

It gave me $5 credit, assume it'll keep topping up $5 per delivery? Is it the same for everyone else?

    • +1

yes it will only reduce the delivery fee

  • +2

Are promo codes stackable? I noticed that once I input this I don't have any option to input new promo codes anymore.

    • +1

      not stackable

  • +1

    Awesome! Thanks

Deliveroo would do a lot better if they actually delivered to more than just 3 streets in Perth. I live 2 houses away from a pizza place that does Deliveroo, yet they won't deliver to my area hahaha yup they are gonna die a fast death to Uber Eats I imagine.

    • +8

You mean you have to walk 2 houses away to get your pizza!?!

      • hahaha I don't actually mind doing that, but apparently, they will deliver from food places in my area, but won't deliver to my house - it makes no sense. They won't deliver anything to my house but will deliver FROM a place virtually next door. Either way it doesn't bother me, I got UberEats which works (I'm close enough to the CBD that I was in the first stage of the rollout here in Perth.

  • Oporto for lunch now.. thanks OP!

  • Thanks mate. Your referral code has reached its limit though

    • Just updated - should be working now :)

  • Thanks for this. Unfortunately zero restaurants that service my house (Perth Metro area). Plenty of restaurants under other services (Delivery Hero, Menulog, Eatnow, UberEats) deliver to my house..

  • how do i get a referral link? (ie. to refer someone else and get credit for myself)

  • Wonder if you can stack with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/277929

    • no unfortunately :(

      • Why not? We wouldn't be stacking promocodes. The ANZ offer is a separate thing

        • +1

I have no idea why not. I have tried and it didnt work. When I have coupon / credit the $15 discount is gone. Try it yourself :)

  • Thanks, worked instantly on the iOS app!

Didn't have an a/c with them so signed up with referral link and got the 20 credit, but then tried to put through an order and added the 'santa' code for 5 off delivery and it took away my 20 bucks credit and 'replaced' it with the 5 bucks off :( Wasn't sure if they'd stack but wasn't expecting to LOSE the 20 dollars credit by trying to apply a free delivery coupon

EDIT: just spoke to customer support and they were cool, re-instantiated the 20 dollars rather than the 5, but so yeah WARNING for anyone else trying to stack coupons, it apparently doesn't work and esp don't try it with a lower value coupon cos it'll literally take the place of the other one.

Although, just checking now and I actually am getting 25 off, not 20. Go figure. ALSO NOTE, my address in the final field wasn't right despite them making you put your full address in to search for restaurants, all it had was my street not unit number or house number.

Do they 'playtest' this shit AT ALL?

AND now the Confirm And Pay button just does nothing, anyway. I've had enuf

EDIT: lol I kept trying despite myself, thought it might be using Paypal that was the problem, got further with CC but then it comes up 'We are having trouble processing your order right now.'

    Ok, DON'T WORRY then

    • Gonna keep this in mind when I apply and try not to freak out when it messes with my $40 credit.

    • +1

Noticed this too. Using the "santa" code pushes the $20 delivery credit to the back of the queue.

I checked my vouchers and there are 10x $5 free delivery codes which will apply before the $20 welcome credit. trying online chat now, but there is a bit of a queue to get through.

For clarity, do all ten deliveries need to be used before Dec 24?

  • How long does the deliveroo referral credit last for?
