Tom's Hardware Says Buy SSD Now Rather than Later Because Price Increases

Tom's Hardware is predicting SSD and HDD shortages throughout 2017 leading to 20 - 25% price increases in the case of SSD.

So now would be a good time to buy if you're in the market for storage.

Oh man I hope not. 2017 was going to maybe be my head I finally buy a pc :( ah well looks like maybe I will be sticking to consoles :(

  i believe 240gb ssds are under $100… you need one
  
  i believe 2tb hdds are also under $100, you need 1 or 2 depending on your requirements

Are Ssds made in China? If Trump labels China a currency manipulator and imposes a 45% tariff, I would expect US demand for them to collapse, leaving a glut of cheap SSDs for the rest of us to enjoy.
