Daniel Wellington has in it short 10 Year history created a very distinctive look and feel, I agree it certainly does seem that Lorus has jump on board their band wagon, however it is unclear who did what first. Daniel Wellington has drawn inspiration from the watch makers of the past, I know the Nato band which it has adopted on that what that you are referring to dates back to the 1970's and has been used on many brands from Timex through to Rolex, it was originally made for the British Soldiers, the dial is a bit harder to trace.
The Brand Lorus was created in 1982 by Seiko which further dates back to 1881.

This Lorus Watch is a blatant rip-off a Daniel Wellington without even changing any of the styling, what a joke. Even some of the cheaper companies at least change the dial styling.
