Bought New Keyboard, Looks Refurbished?

Hi Friends,

Long time reader first time poster. I bought one of these keyboards for $130

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/280281

From JB Hifi and i just received it today.

However upon opening it I notice that the packaging surrounding the keyboard and also all the warranty pamphlets, instruction books etc look like they have been used.

I am thinking this might of been a refurbished unit. Should I look at just going to JB and doing an exchange? It seems pretty dodgy selling refurbished as new but then at the same time there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the keyboard that I can tell (Maybe a fault later down the track who knows).

Unless it was just opened in store, Looked at and repackaged.

    • Call me pedantic but the condition the instruction book is in makes it seem like it was flipped, read, stored somewhere for a while then returned. There are bumps and folds in it which aren't a sign of bad storage bud a sign of age.

I know pedantic right :P The keyboard looks fine but the packaging looks used o.O

Thanks for letting me know mate. Mine actually had an extra sticker surrounding those circular stickers on each end.

I ended up getting it swapped on Friday and the new one had just the circle stickers on each end. The packaging was fine and I am loving the new RGB effects =)

I replaced the WASD Keys with the ones they provided. All setup!
