I'm a bit out of the loop as I've not been on the site for a week, but OzBargain now seems to be displaying auto-playing video advertisements. Flashcontrol also reports that it has blocked hundreds of scripts on bargain pages that display these video advertisements. Is this a new thing, and I just haven't noticed it?

- Text/Image ads (default)
- Text ads
- No ads

I'm happy to see ads if it supports OzBargain! I just don't like video ads - they make me grouchy.
@blitz: I agree. I'd probably turn them back on one day when I search for the setting. Normals ads fine, but video ads are just a resource hog.

Yep, that makes sense and I did know about those settings. But it might be worth changing option 1 to read "Text/Image/Video ads", because these ads are definitely loading MP4 files and automatically playing them. Right now I'm set to "No ads" but I like supporting OZbargain so I'm happy to see ads, I just don't like video ads consuming battery life and bandwidth. :)
What kind of video ads are they? Who are the advertisers? I'll see whether I can find it & block it from AdX.
Just like the OP I've noticed getting Wework ads quite often, in fact they just showed up in this thread. No ad info button so maybe served via non-Google network?

WeWork is now blocked. There doesn't seem to be a way to easily block all the video ads in AdX so I have to block the entire domain.

Do you get avenue just by the ad being viewed on a page?
I'm happy to have them on to help out, but I'm not going to click through. So if you only get the revenue on click through, then I'll leave off.
Yes we do get revenue from some CPM ads (those that pay by views rather than clicks), especially in December where a lot of brands want to be known so they bid up the price. However feel free to turn off ads if you don't want them.
