Budvar Czech Lager 500ml Slab (24 Cans) $50, The Bottle-O Greensborough, VIC

130

These beers have December Best Before dates but i can assure you that they still taste great and fresh!
Great beer for Christmas super drinkable and very light bitterness.

We have about 100 slabs available. when they're gone they're gone.

The original “budweiser”, this is a Czech Lager with historical pedigree. Golden colour, thick white head, a distinct pure malt aroma with a rich hop accent, unique and very mild bitterness of medium intensity to create a medium to full flavour.

  • When I lived in NSW, my flatmate used to rave about this stuff.
I've yet to see it in a bottle shop.
I'm too far away in WA to see this lot either……

Dan Murphys usually stocks it in the bottles. Was definetly one of my top ten or so Czech Beers I tried when I was fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks there about 10 years ago. Its about a gazuillion times better than Pilsener Urquel that is sometimes pushed over here.

      • Thanks for the heads up.

Theres a Dan Murphys a couple of suburbs away that I'll have to now check out.

        Cheers

I recently bought a couple of cartons at Dan's in Canningvale WA when they were ~$49.99. Drinking one now; good and fresh. They used to stock cans but I haven't seen them in a while. Favourite summer beer.

          edit: added state

  • Only Greensborough? And 100! Slabs? How are they stored? What about Ferntree GUlly "Bottle-O" Franchise? Going to cost me $8 in fuel to get to Greensborough. At 2abv and 48 standard drinks, i'd give it a go if it was local. Change it up from my Coopers Sparkling.
