I have one of these cards and have saved about 80c on my 5 week holiday. Every deal you can get somewhere else for a better price.

You saved 80 cents. You go somewhere else you save another 20 cents. Then you have one dollar. You take your dollar to the dollar store…

I remember using my ISIC card to get a student BritRail pass (1 month) from Victoria Station London, which took me all over Europe by train.
Alternative was a student Eurail Pass which cost way more for same and only available from outside Europe - except I wasn't a "student" till I got to Greece.

And to get my ISIC card (in Athens) while not a student, I showed my Padi Divers Licence that has "Student Number xxx" and School "Barrier Reef Diving Centre, Airlie Beach"

Not sure what Brexit has done to BritRail pass use in europe.

    • Yeah I did find ISIC useful in Europe for transport and free entry to obscure museums. Sadly some of other discounts were only for students from the EU (not for those studying in the EU).

Totally recommend getting one of these cards, flashed it all over Europe for great discounts, despite it being expired for 2 years!

Yeah I especially love how they look the card over carefully as if they actually read English.

It will be a sad day for faux-student scam artists when the world's senior citizens have complete English comprehension and teenagers on minimum-wage worldwide start to give a crap.

  • Do we not receive anything if we already have a choice account? :(

  • I used an ISIC to get into heaps of museums all over Europe at student rates. The Westpac ISIC card also has some pretty cool exclusive discounts at STA Travel. Including:

Additional 11% off hotels booked via STA Travel
Additional $20 off long haul flights booked with STA Travel
Additional $100 off any tour over $1,000 booked with STA Travel
