How do OzBargainers wind down after a hard day at work?

Interested to see how OzBargain winds down after a tough day at Work?

When I usually get Home, I sit in my Lounge, grab a beer and browse through the Deals and comments for that day.

Ever since I've joined this Fantastic Community, it's been part of my daily routine believe it or not!

So, OzBargain; How do you wind down/distress after a exhausting day?

Well I would like to think Scotty gives a nice reward to Ozbargain after a hard day's work. Especially after a massive eBay coupon deal. Maybe a good ol' dust clean of the servers if Ozbargain's lucky. EDIT: Probably makes less sense now that the title's changed.

No time,Must find next deal !!!!

  • $1 Woolies coles soft drinks and some electronic music

As for food.. Sometimes I cheat and don't ozbargain it.. tbh cheap food is hard to find unless you are fine with two minute noodles.. which I sometimes like but a good pork roll is hard to make IMO I need to learn that though eventually some day when they all close down :(

Ice cream is easier though for those movie munchie nights

I picked up 4 ready made meals from Woolies marked down from $8 to $1.20 this evening. They can have some awesome mark downs, still fresh and can freeze the rest. They seem to mark the sandwhiches down around 12:30-1:00pm as well to $1-$1.50 each.

      • Wow nice which one's? Frozen? Prepackaged? Sandwiches? Soups?

I didn't know Woolies sold sandwiches hmm I'll have to pass by the bakery again some day

These were fresh/prepacked on the refrigerated shelf, 350gm meals. I got pasta meals, 1 roasted vege and pesto and 3 chicken carbonara with broccoli.

I have only noticed these nice lunch and dinner items in the newer Woolies stores. The older ones don't seem to stock them or only have a very limited selection. The soups are great too, don't often see them marked down though.

Always gotta get a loaf of fruit and orange or garlic sourdough when they mark them down to <$2 as well.

      • Agree. Woolies is very conservative about their use by dating and quite good on the markdowns.
I get meat and fancy bread for the freezer marked down 50% or more.
Other fresh produce that is marked down often determines what is for dinner.

  • Make afew dumb comments, watch a movie or 2…

wash my hands and face, get a nice soft drink from my fridge, lay down on the couch watch my subscription youtube videos while looking through ozbargain deals, looking for stuff i dont need but want, will buy it especially if it is marked down to a low price, may or may never use the product. yeah im dumb like that.

Have a alarm just in case i snooze off, wake up and go gym at 7, come back home, shit and shower.

  • Meditate, read, go for a walk, reddit

  • Simultenously surfing the web, browsing Ozbargain, playing videogames, doing a cryptic crossword whilst watching the American Football on the TV. Female multitasking on 3 screens - FTW.

    • Isn't the football normally on in the morning?

We don't watch anything live anymore we "tape" it then jump through the ads. The PVR is a great invention.

I play Overwatch, get pissed off at the community, and end up feeling more aggravated than when I came home from work.

  • Tinder + Netflix and chill

With a three year old at home I don't get a chance to wind down..

    • Amen to that! haha

    • Agreed and it's double trouble with 2. Can't imagine what 3 or more would be like.

We aim for 8am at the latest for the kids to be in bed then I chill, watch TV and fall asleep on the couch which my wife hates haha oops can't help it.

See how quick I can get the kids to finish their dinner, brush their teeth and then get them to bed. Which is usually by 9pm then I usually watch YouTube for an hour before bed.

I drive around in my $80k high yield investment car.
I then go home to eat some beef (never pulled because it's a scam) and some imported rice.

Don't forget to check under the bonut regularly.

Make sure the nechanic doesn't swap the tyres with exactly the same ones too. They might threaten you with a stick. 😀

  • I pour a drink, sit down at the computer to browse the net, and hope for the sake of others that no-one comes near me for a good hour or two.

  • A nice cold one, meat pie and chips, and putting up my feet watching the tele.

  • A big wank.

  • Play a sport or go for a walk

  • Watch comedy movies or TV shows, then sleep after that.

  • Beer….maybe wine…maybe cider.
