I can see the link :)

    • Cool :)

  • +1

I've got the offer too, yellow banner in Play Store.

  • +1

I have got it too. Thanks OP great find!

Now to choose from between like 4 or 5 or from 10 or 29 haha lol.

  • +1

Strange. I had it in my banner. I clicked it, clicked accept and then when I went back to click on it for the second time, a box opened with a pre-filled code but it said 'my account is not eligible for this offer' when clicking OK with the code filled in.

    • What happens when you click on a movie title available for rental? Mine says something like 'you can apply your rental reward at the checkout'. I don't think I had any other 'rewards' but I'm not 100% sure.

      • +4

Figured it out - seems OK now. I have to go into the Rewards section on my account and click on the offer, then I can select the movie at $0.99 from there.

        • Thanks for the info cloo. Had the same problem.

  • +1

Btw what are you guys watching?

    • I only claimed the offer, haven't decided what to use it on yet :)

    • +2

      I'm gonna watch

David Brent: Life on the Road

      What about you?

    • +1

I'm thinking Suicide Squad. Haven't seen it yet. Difficult when I have a 3 year old who goes to bed after I do. Means I only get to watch some kind of adult content once or twice a week.

    • Ended up getting independence day resurgence because 19 year wait haha lul

  • +3

Can't find it on mobile, might have to do it on pc.

    • Yes, it didn't show up for me on the mobile but it did show up on the PC.

    • I have yet to try on PC but it is not showing up on my Play Store app.

  • Came up on mine - thanks OP!

  • +1

might be targeted, I cant see it either

  • I can see it on my account but it is not showing up on my dad's account. So i guess it must be targeted.

  • +3

I'd watch a lot more new releases if prices were always like this.

    • Same I just realised I had like over 10 or 20 that I legitimately wanted to sit down and watch and another 10 or 20 more I wouldn't mind considering
      So many good new releases

  • +5

    Awesome!

Will use the Google Play credit for this and I can download for offline viewing (iOS, Android and Chromebook only)

    For anyone wondering: Rental Period
Start within 30 days, finish within 48 hours.

So, rent now and watch within 30 days - and from starting you have 48 hours to watch it.

Cheers OP - I got it. I thought it didn't appear the first time, checked a second it appeared.

For reference, the banner appeared for me in the Google Play app, at the top in the "Movies, Music, Books" tab.

  • awesome

    I rented Bridget Jones

    • +8

      why ?

  • +7

Thanks op! Finally going to watch Finding Dory :).

Also if anyone hasn't watched and is wondering, Kubo & the 2 strings is amazing and easily the most underrated film of 2016 imo. Zootopia too.

    • +1

Damn… Did your kid just wrote on your behalf :)

      • +8

Lol I thought I'd get a comment like that. Nah I don't have kids, for real.

Production quality on both those two are just crazy good.

Kubo & 2 strings more so cause it's studio laika and their magic stop motion witchcraft. Was sad to see it underperform in the box office, it deserved better imo.

Edit: FML, kills me to see "bad moms" & "sausage party" did better than Kubo.

        • +1

Kubo looks awesome!! Rented and will watch over the break

        • I so wanted to get a nice feel good kids movie the 9 year old inside be wanted to see what would happen in the long awaited indepence day sequel.. also aliens and graphics.. man so many good movies.. good comedy ones too

  • +6

Good timing now that the torrent websites are IMPOSSIBLE to access. /sarcasm

  • Sweet! Long break binge watch list sorted.

    • +1

binge watch a whole one movie.

      • +1

Some of us have a "few" Google play accounts.

  • +5

says im not eligible, but heres the code.
    BE1DB4CBLWWWQKZR1MXR0GZ

    • Thanks heaps! The horizontal banners aren't showing for me at all in Google Play, though redeeming this code worked.

    • +1

I had same issue but try accessing it from the Rewards section of your account and it might work.

    • Yeah I had same issue. Go to checkout on a movie and it should apply.

I think the "ineligible on your account" means 1 per account. Since it has already been applied, the system thinks you're trying to apply another.

    • +1

Thanks, have updated deal with direct link using this code.

  • +2

Bridget Jones's Baby is $5.99 Nope

  • Great find. Thanks moocher.

  • Awesome find. Thanks Op. Got the Secret Life of Pets.

  • Don't see the link.

  • This code cannot be redeemed from your country.

    Is this for US accounts?

    • +1

It should be for AU specifically.

      • Worked for my AU acc. as well. Is your account AU?

  • +1

Thanks op rented stork for kids. I also had 75% off so booked Alice Through looking glass ($1.75 hd) and bought Hd suicide squad extended at half price ($12.49). Had all these offers to use and paid via Telstra so virtually free :)

    • Got Stork as well.

  • +1

Can you watch these on a TV that has YouTube? Or do you need chrome cast

    • You need Google play tv and movies app or through browser website

    • You can play from your Android mobile to Chrome cast or from your PC to chromecast using Chrome browser.

    • Youtube works fine

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

Also got half price any movie deal. There is a banner in TV n Movie section

  • Not working for me yet. Does it work on iMac?

  • So it let me look at a short list of movies after "agreeing", all of which said $5.99 in red. It also said limit was 1 per account.

I went to look at something else and now when I click the banner it says my account is not eligible. LOL great promo Google Play!

    • exact same happened to me

    • When I clicked on a movie that was $5.99, it showed as $0.99 for rental and $5.99 to buy.

    • If you have already clicked on the above link once and taken up the offer, the offer should stay in your account. Look under 'Account', then scroll down to 'Rewards'. There should be one with

  • Anyone know how much data rentals use up? I have an Apple TV, so I don't know if that matters.

  • Is this deal still on ? I get error message that code BE1DB4CBLWWWQKZR1MXR0GZ has expired.

    • Ok will mark as expired. Couldn't test it since I'd already claimed it.
