ME Bank's Weekly Paywave/Paypass: Have You Been on Top of It?

ME Bank's promo has lasted for almost a year and this week is the last week of the year to do it.

Have you been religiously making sure you do your weekly purchase the entire time you've been with them?

Or did you forget just once (or went overseas), and end up forfeiting the interest for that month?

What is this deal? I'm on the 6 month movie tickets deal and I've missed one month only. Pretty happy with it. Closing my account after this month and sucking it dry.

    • Haha, read the title and thought the same.

  • could not use them for a year as they had my phone numbers mixed up. Now got my money with Rams, they want 200 a month and no takings to give you 3%.
Nab and Comm still have 3.2% on 36 months

  • I need help. Which stores are open today (Easter Friday) where I can do my weekly paypass? If I don't, this will be my first month of lost interest. Any supermarkets open? I'll even buy a random burger from a random restaurant.

  • Now that ME Bank are no longer no.1 when it comes to online interest rates (from 3.05% to 2.95%), only a masochist would go through the trouble of doing the weekly paywaves. They might as well remove the stupid requirement now or make it once a month.

In any case I am proud to say that I have not failed even a single weekly paywave this entire time, so no loss of interest for me. As mentioned, the interest rate did go down so even though I didn't lose interest, I have however lost interest in the interest MEBank is offering.

    Good bye.
