        Steam normally wants $80 USD for it. Other regions get charged $60 USD. $20 Aussie tax.

        Yep. You can find the odd game during peak hours but even then chances are teams will be 3v4 or 4v5 which is just frustrating. No auto balance too. So people quit because this.

        Single player is pretty fun though.

      On one day, yes. Plus $3.50 shipping because it was online only.

      I personally am going to wait until it's below $15 because I'm not that into FPS anymore.

    If your'e looking for something over christmas you can do worse. I'm enjoying the single player. I only wish more PC games ran this good on AMD hardware.

      Does it play like old id games? Like Armor/health sprinkled everywhere in a line that you pick up in one motion? Guns spinning around in random places all over?

      Or is it a "modern" shooter. In other words, regenerating health (no health kit pickups), and you can only carry two guns, must reload, and set pieces galore.

      Halo ruined shooters for me. The two guns idea originated from Xbox controller limitations. But it turned out to be a good idea by the industry and now every game does that. Don't bring up realism as the reason for that if the same game also heals your gunshot wounds to full health when you hide behind a rock for 3 seconds. This leads to so much passivity in big firefights.

      If Doom is a throwback to older shooters (carry as many guns as you want, no regenerating health) I might pick it up. I'm guessing it doesn't since the original vision for Doom was a CoD clone.

      Not if you signed up for MyRepublic deal and get full speed. I am getting 95Mbps, which is almost 12MB/s. It is so fast. Seriously.
