'Swap N Go' 9kg LPG Gas Cylinders\ Bottles for $15.80 @Tarragindi Fruit Barn [QLD]

310

Sorry about the poor quality picture- it's from my car's dash cam (some sort of potato branded cam). It seems to be a pretty cheap price for 9Kg swap and go LPG gas.

Don't even know if it's cheap but upvoted for ingenuity of going back through dashcam footage to get festive potato.

    • Thanks Hinee! Merry Potato to you and your Spuds!

  • been oiling deck all day.. brain fried. help with calculations please.

in qld 45kg bottles typically are about $130 (give or take, usually depending on rental charge)
but this price is $79.50 per 45kg?!

am i/we being ripped off.. or is this retailer 'importing' gas from a cheaper state somehow.. or something.

i guess it's partly due to costs of special trucks/codes/drivers to transport 45kg bottles etc etc.

    • Hmmm, yeah it doesn't seem right does it, you'd think you'd pay less for bulk. That could explain why our neighbour uses 9kg bottles for his hot water system instead of those 45kg cylinders.

      • may also be neighbour is non compliant or doesn't have the certificate. qld 45kg lpg suppliers need to see a certificate before doing business these days.

mine cost a couple of hundred+ in parts and gassy.. wish I went with 9kg now as I don't use much and will probably switch to electric down the track.
